This is during Gannesh Festival.... Shankar Mahadevan arranging such type of music event during Ganesh Festival every year in the his house... Where all singers and musicians from the industry enjoys the music

Blessed to visit it every year, perform there and get to listen to all the legends 🌸 I have a request if you can listen and react to my and Shankar Mahadevan ji's song 'Ae Savere' , someday!😊❤
There are a lot of videos of these kinds of gatherings that singers host and pretty much everyone else is from the fraternity. You will hear impromptu singing, people joining in etc. Lookup Sonu, Shaan, Hariharan, Madhusree, Salim Sulaiman singing Jaane Jaan. Very precarious environment, like you say.

You should watch Shankar Mahadevan's Movie "Katyar Kaljat Ghusali", It was his acting debut as well. it's a Marathi-language musical drama set in the British Raj time. I'm not a Marathi speaker myself but one of my Marathi friends suggested this movie, I really enjoyed it. and I'm pretty sure you'll also love it.

Please do check Vijay Yesudas's "THAI THINDRA MANANE" classical version from AAYIRATHI ORUVAN movie. Don't watch the video song, watch the lyric video. The whole album is very raw. If you had time, in the same album "CELEBRATION OF LIFE" . Its just an intrumental. Again don't watch video, just lyrics. The video kinda takes away your concentration from the audio. So, hear it just for the audio.
