The slow traveling projectile guns in 2D are REALLY STRONG since you can no longer dodge them by just walking out of the way. Ben would be a zoner in a 2D fighting game confirmed.
Zoey mentioning playing 1D instead made me think the opposite direction; a 4D map introducing time travel where they also have to contend with past events of previous rounds and avoid the crossfire that took place. Dunno if it's even possible, but would add a new level of chaos to rounds following the first.

What Duncan said about odds, they are interesting because odds themselves aren't influenced by past events. If it is a 50-50 shot it doesn't matter what you got before it as the current roll is still 50-50. Odds are stupid.
Too bad Zoey never got a baseball bat, would have been nice to see how the physics of it would have worked on a 2D map. Video was pretty fun, hope whoever made this makes more of them. Maybe just multi levels, and not that whole teleporting around, though seeing the other players in the background across the map was pretty neat. And the minimap really helped (and in the first or second round, cant remember, someone seemed to have a radar and it showed where everyone else was on the map)

I'm American and everyone I knew growing up knew Flat Stanley. We used to do pen pal assignments in elementary where we'd send flat Stanleys in the mail with our letter and have our pen pal take pictures with him whenever they went out.

It was also common for the student to make their own Flatsona (I hate that is what they are) and send it via mail to travel and visit family. A few years ago my cousin’s daughter sent her Flatsona to us so I know at least pre-pandemic this was still happening.
I grew up on the East Coast of the US and in my elementary school not only did we read Flat Stanley, we took a fieldtrip to Washington D.C. to see the play of it at the Kennedy Center lmao
I found these type of mods always fun to play - if the controls are properly adapted and they give you platforming skills (higher double jumps, the ability to drop through specific floor types, etc.) I remember playing UT2004 sidescrolling modes before those type of games took off and became stand-alone. Good times :D
