Such a relaxed style. The beauty of Zidane's play is how unhurried & elegant he makes everything look. His awareness means he can make a trap & pass look ridiculously easy even when it's the most effective thing any player on the park did. He wouldn't do the usual flicks & tricks because they're not purposeful, only for kids.

Yeah I personnaly find unhurried play the most they are so satisfying to watch. I enjoy that way much rather than solo play based on pure speed and acceleration even tho they are fun sometimes too ^^

There have possibly been better players, Messi, Maradona, Ronaldo but he is the most elegant player ever.
Technically speaking Zidane was higher than Messi and Ronaldo , you can not just compare the number of goals, also in terms of leadership in French national team, that's why Zidane is considered like Pelé or Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo have not win the World Cup. Zidane has scored 2 goals against Brazil in Final98 and destroyed Brazil team himself during 2006 World Cup!
That match in 2006 against prime Ronaldinho, Kaka, old Ronaldo, Cafu and Carlos will always be the benchmark of how to be the boss in a football field

Barca fan here. I always fantasize about what if Zizou played at Barcelona. Messi is a joy to watch now but before him it was Zidane for me even if it hurt that he was playing for the enemy. This man brought football to life.

Long time ago there was a guy whit skill who completely understood how other players and positioning works. He became a football god in my eyes.
I'm sure for many of these players, no matter how big they are, it was a highlight of their career to score from a pass by Zinedine Zidane, even if it was just training. Many of these guys probably grew up wanting to be like him.

Ça finira par arriver,le monde va être un véritable Ras de marée humaine quant...je prie Dieu,mais tu as bien raison pelé,le roi pelé LUI-MÊME !! A dit qu'il n'y avait eu qu'un SEUL brésilien sur le terrain en 2006 ou 2009 je crois, venant du roi pelé,Messi Ronaldo mbappe tous ces jeunes n'ont pas reçu de tél lot et ils furent forts car celà n'est pas venue de x,ou y mais du meilleur et plus grand joueur de tout les temps pelé,mais le monde réalisé pas que ZIDANE faisait transaillez les coeurs par ces geste vraiment très beaux juste et simple il pourrais encore jouer en équipe de France aujourd'hui !!!
