In this video, i go through my first the Cvt7 (JF015E) showing the clutch packs, planetary gearset, valvebody and pulleys. We get alot of calls on these so there should be many more to come
thanks for the video on this trans it is the same as my suzuki sport that i have just repaired from input shaft bearing failure. also check the 2nd variator pickup for the sensor as it comes loose.
What exactly is that small partially smashed shim thing that came out of the primary pulley piston at 5:15? I just separated my pulleys and mine is completely smashed flat all the way around... I thought it was some kinda shim but may just be part of piston.
The car manufacturing companies insist on keep the CVT transmission because it's cheaper to manufacture and will make more profit for them, even though the CVT less reliable than direct shift AT. Thanks.
Great video! I have that same Sentra and mine is getting worse and worse about switching from low to high range, the switch from forward to reverse is very slow, and there's a lot of "bouncing" at times when I start coasting. I get judder on a cold engine when first accelerating. A previous CVT flush by the dealer helped but only temporarily. I'm planning on rebuilding it myself, but I really don't want to drop the whole unit if possible. Do you think replacing the valve body, filters, and fluid would be enough? Also, is it possible to replace the oil pump without dropping the whole transmission?
The only thing you can do with out dropping the trans is the valvebody. I the car works ok cold and not ok hot i would think you may have a valvebody problem, if not good cold replacing the valvebody may not help
That small piston with the sleeve you replaced - I believe near or part of the pump. Is that only accessible upon disassembly / can it be accessed on the car?
I hate to see this Nissan CVT chain because it is a reminder that my car is going to catastrophically break down. How long did the designers think that the metal strips will bend and flex without breaking?
Have you been having the problems with forward clutch judder? Every one of these that comes in seems to have it, when you slow down then accelerate for junctions it is very noticeable. I think we finally got it figured out by changing the pump valve, TC, rebuilding the valve block, rebuilding the pulleys and then stall testing the car. Have you had this issue and know any way to resolve it?
@@BroadwayLTDProductions i can tell you now for sure thst its the forward clutch thst judders, sometimes shudder dix helps but usually we have to take the tranny out and rub up the steel plates for forward clutch
Not sure, i do not have these cars here in the states, i do have a chart at work for transmission type and they say it world wide so i will look when i'm at work
Hi, any update about the transmission repair completion. I`m waiting to see the results because I have problems of slipping, jerking in the same one. Thanks
Thanks for sharing I'm actually gonna work on the same unit out of 2013 Nissan Where do you get your parts for this type of units The filter outside on the case they don't sell it or if you can help me with a part #
The Valvebody was reasonably priced so i got another one. I buy my parts from Transtar. If your having trouble finding, i could hook you up with my rep.
Greetings I did the overhaul for the CVT 7 transmission but after placing it and turning the car on the fuel step is not responding unless i do reverse and drive several times the it will respond Your advice will be highly appreciated

yes, you are correct, thanks for watching
Thank you so much for making such an interesting video.
hello, Gary Ferraro, you recommend polishing the pulleys of the CVT of Nissan centra two thousand thirteen because I am rebuilding a transmission
How do they look any scoring ? would hurt if there not smooth. Are you changing the belt?

Do you think 2017 Nissan Versa transmission is the same as 2013 Nissan sentra
Awesome, from Colombia thanks for video. Greetings
Thank you. Greetings from New York
Very cool trans, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Primary and secondary piston will getting separately or we order Primary and secondary pulley assembly?
Good one

And when you get these back what condition is your transmission oil / have customers been servicing them on a regular basis
@@louisbaiani6262 What time in the video do you see the small piston or are you talking about the flow control valve?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and hope you can do a video on a versa cvt.
Do you know if a 17 versa cvt fits on a 12 versa ?.
When i get one sure, not sure if it will fit, when i get a chance i will see what units are in both years

My Versa has the same transmission and used to do that as well until I changed the fluid. Now it works very smoothly.

Hey Gary could you give me the info where I can get the pulley kit with the belt on?
Gary Ferraro what do you do to the valve body of the nissan sentra and versa of the tranmissiom cvt?
i usually get a reman valvebody
@@GaryFerraro from what company do you get the valvebody?
Because here in california the transmissions of the nissan sentra/versa in the dealer costs 1,600; is it worth to rebuild it or no?

Have they updated this transmission at all to make them more reliable? Either with the hardware or software?
I would say no to that, still get plenty of them

This type of transmission is good for flat roads and not good for mountain roads.
These are not the greatest, lots of problem and they happen at low mileage
Axio transmission?
This i believe is REOF10D
what about the reluctor on the secondary spinning
How many miles on it when it failed?
90k
Was thinking about buying a car with this transmission. Is it notoriously troublesome? Should I avoid it or get the manual?

Where are you located? You see alot of issues with the primary pulley? or what is the common problem you see?
