Yoga mats are awkward to carry on their own so I’m going to make a yoga mat bag. It has a zipper compartment, a pocket, and is fully lined. The zipper opening makes it easy to put the yoga mat in and take it out.

What an excellent tutorial. I have watched a few videos but this is the best, very clear, and great to have all the measurements on screen to copy (though I will be converting into centimetres). Thank you!

Thank you so much. I successfully was able to make this thanks to video and written instructions. Not the easiest project, but certainly doable if you take your time. Important to though who don't have much sewing experience, like me, to emphasize that the stripe must be a match when putting in the zipper. Thought I was done, and then had to take out one side of the zipper to align correctly (my fault).
Am watching this now from mauritius ❤️...I'll definitely try to make one because u explained everything stepwise and though it's a long process but I'll definitely have my bag by the end of this week🥰.. thank u so much ...Namaste🙏

Not a project for a beginner. Even with experience the video goes so fast that you have to keep rewinding it. I appreciate the video and all that. I hope my bag turns out okay. One thing I found helpful to sew the circle onto the lining...pin it on...it makes it way easier than just trying to sew it together. Use the written tutorial for cutting your pieces and the video for making the bag. At least that's what I found helpful. One thing that really frustrated me. I'm putting on the pocket panel onto the outer fabric. "Sew around the edges just to hold them together." What edges? All of them? I can't see in the video clearly so giving it my best shot...Thanks for helping me make my first yoga mat bag :)
