Knoxville Center (Abandoned) Mall

Originally known as East Towne Mall, this mall operated from July 1984 to January 2020 and was demolished in 2022. This mall had 5 anchor tenants and sat on 964,000 square feet with 2 floors inside along with a movie theater and Chinese restaurant.
East Towne Mall received major renovations by its owner in 1997. The outside was left unchanged raised from a new entrance, the inside was renovated with new tile..paint..trim and more. The mall adopted a Tennessee mountain theme which once renovations were complete it adopted the name Knoxville Center.
