I am 37 years old and I have always been single, I have never been in a relationship and I am still a virgin. I have been affected since childhood by a very rare genetic disease that handicaps me physically. Despite this, I have no hatred towards women. I understand very well that being in a relationship with me can be complicated because of my physical situation, and I don't blame women. My situation is different from most incels, but they should see things differently instead of being so negative. They don't have any major health problems that prevent them from finding someone. Even if they have had women in the past who have behaved badly with them, not all of them will. Some may not agree, but I think these guys should change their mindset, if at all possible.

I feel sorry for the kids now. They know nothing about being social. My nephew had a party with kids around 18-22. They all sat staring at their phones. Nobody was talking but they were actually sending messages to each other rather than speaking. One person would laugh at something they read and then another but nobody really spoke to each other. I almost got sucked into incel thinking. I always used to be an passionate football player in my school days. But before starting college, I gained a lot of weight and had 5 herinated discs and I lost the ability to play football. And therefore in college, in order to find happiness, I tried dating and thought that having a girlfriend and sex will make me happy. But I wasn't happy with myself and therefore couldn't attract anyone. However I saw that guys who I knew were playboys (and were vouched to be so by my sister too) were getting girls left and right. So what the incels were saying (about the Chads and Stacies) seemed true. But the I started boxing and MMA. And that saved me, along with me finding the love of life (currently dating her). Turns out the I needed something to be passinate about. And I had lost that when I couldn't play football anymore. So having boxing and MMA saved me.

We never get to face them, and hence cannot deal with them. But if you start martial arts. And ESPECIALLY when you start sparring (hard sparring) you will face two of the most primal human emotions: fear and anger. The first time I got punched while sparring (boxing rules) I was filled to the brim with fear and anger. Fear because I knew I was taking part in an activity where I can get physically hurt and angry because my opponent had just punched me. Even though my brain knew that I am more or less safe (as my coach will not let me get seriously injured) but I had never been in a fight after 5th grade. And the rush of fear and anger was unknown to me. My first match went bad as I couldn't control my emotions and my fighting form went out of the window (2 months of hitting pads but nothing helped as I lost control). But after 4 sparring matches, I was no longer fearful and angry to the point I lost control. Coming face to face with those emotions again and again helped me master them. I suggest you try martial arts too.

I’d hate to think that curing your loneliness with relationships and sex is even possible. I’m not the best looking man but I’ve had my fair share of dates, relationships and sex with pretty women. And some of my loneliness moments have been with them beside me. Some of my hardest times I was still being drowned in administration from others and still felt alone. These incel communities tell young men that they are inherently pathetic, that they are losers because of their genetics, because of their height etc, and that there is nothing they can do about it. Its poisonous, its a cycle of hopelessness that feeds into itself, a cycle that is NECESSARY to keep these communities alive. Anger and sadness is the primary fuel here. These incel groups want you to fall into this pit of despair so that they themselves feel less alone. They end up appropriating certain stereotypes, social biases and stigma's to every part of their lives, while ignoring and therefore not understanding everyone else's. They restrict their entire lives to a one sided view in a world that is incredibly multifaceted. And while most people recognize that genetic characterstics can be attractive and advantagous, these guys make that the exclusive determining factor for attractiveness or general happiness in life. This is why they end up taking their own lives. Because they are taught that their suffering is something that they cannot change. This is effectively how depression and suicide work in tandem. One becomes lonely and heartbroken because of inflicted pain, they end up isolating themselves or pushing others away through certain actions, and they end up believing that their suffering is caused by their inherent existence, their inherent failure to function in this world, rather than the actions they have taken; actions that were provoked by their own pain, and which can change. I could have worded this better but I hope people understand what I'm getting at. The irrational logic of depression and suicide. I dont know how we fix this issue of guys who have already gone down this path. All I know is that reaching out to them is the first step, further isolating them, belittling them, these things are what drove them down that road in the first place. They arn't villains, 99% of them are not Elliot Rodgers, most of them are really depressed people that need help.

I am 37 years old and I have always been single, I have never been in a relationship and I am still a virgin. I have been affected since childhood by a very rare genetic disease that handicaps me physically. Despite this, I have no hatred towards women. I understand very well that being in a relationship with me can be complicated because of my physical situation, and I don't blame women. My situation is different from most incels, but they should see things differently instead of being so negative. They don't have any major health problems that prevent them from finding someone. Even if they have had women in the past who have behaved badly with them, not all of them will. Some may not agree, but I think these guys should change their mindset, if at all possible.

I feel sorry for the kids now. They know nothing about being social. My nephew had a party with kids around 18-22. They all sat staring at their phones. Nobody was talking but they were actually sending messages to each other rather than speaking. One person would laugh at something they read and then another but nobody really spoke to each other. I almost got sucked into incel thinking. I always used to be an passionate football player in my school days. But before starting college, I gained a lot of weight and had 5 herinated discs and I lost the ability to play football. And therefore in college, in order to find happiness, I tried dating and thought that having a girlfriend and sex will make me happy. But I wasn't happy with myself and therefore couldn't attract anyone.
However I saw that guys who I knew were playboys (and were vouched to be so by my sister too) were getting girls left and right. So what the incels were saying (about the Chads and Stacies) seemed true. But the I started boxing and MMA. And that saved me, along with me finding the love of life (currently dating her).
Turns out the I needed something to be passinate about. And I had lost that when I couldn't play football anymore. So having boxing and MMA saved me.
Well it is true. It's true for all mammals closely related to us and for many more animals.

In our day to day life, we are taught to rein in our "animalistic" urges and emotions. We never get to face them, and hence cannot deal with them.
But if you start martial arts. And ESPECIALLY when you start sparring (hard sparring) you will face two of the most primal human emotions: fear and anger.
The first time I got punched while sparring (boxing rules) I was filled to the brim with fear and anger. Fear because I knew I was taking part in an activity where I can get physically hurt and angry because my opponent had just punched me. Even though my brain knew that I am more or less safe (as my coach will not let me get seriously injured) but I had never been in a fight after 5th grade. And the rush of fear and anger was unknown to me.
My first match went bad as I couldn't control my emotions and my fighting form went out of the window (2 months of hitting pads but nothing helped as I lost control).
But after 4 sparring matches, I was no longer fearful and angry to the point I lost control. Coming face to face with those emotions again and again helped me master them.
I suggest you try martial arts too.

Lonely guys find these forums centered around their relatable and common struggles, in order to fill that loneliness inside of them. It becomes their social crutch, and can easily further drive them down paths that ruin their own lives or the lives of others. As cringe and unhelpful as these videos can be for those who are already exposed to this degeneracy, or perhaps have already fallen down that rabbit-hole themselves, this type of mainstream discussion is a necessary first step to educate guys who are in the dark. Its definitely not the best, its classic sensationalist exposé, but if you dont know how far the rabbit hole goes, you're at risk for learning these things the hard way. This just goes for everything on the internet. Everyone online is part of an echo-chamber, and while some are pipelines to social groups that are more negative than others ( again its hard to tell that its happening to you until you are already there.), we all suffer from the internet world slowly stripping us from health social interaction. We need to talk about this stuff more, how it feeds into our mental health. We need resources and education regarding loneliness in the age of the internet

These incel communities tell young men that they are inherently pathetic, that they are losers because of their genetics, because of their height etc, and that there is nothing they can do about it. Its poisonous, its a cycle of hopelessness that feeds into itself, a cycle that is NECESSARY to keep these communities alive. Anger and sadness is the primary fuel here. These incel groups want you to fall into this pit of despair so that they themselves feel less alone. They end up appropriating certain stereotypes, social biases and stigma's to every part of their lives, while ignoring and therefore not understanding everyone else's. They restrict their entire lives to a one sided view in a world that is incredibly multifaceted. And while most people recognize that genetic characterstics can be attractive and advantagous, these guys make that the exclusive determining factor for attractiveness or general happiness in life. This is why they end up taking their own lives. Because they are taught that their suffering is something that they cannot change. This is effectively how depression and suicide work in tandem. One becomes lonely and heartbroken because of inflicted pain, they end up isolating themselves or pushing others away through certain actions, and they end up believing that their suffering is caused by their inherent existence, their inherent failure to function in this world, rather than the actions they have taken; actions that were provoked by their own pain, and which can change. I could have worded this better but I hope people understand what I'm getting at. The irrational logic of depression and suicide.
I dont know how we fix this issue of guys who have already gone down this path. All I know is that reaching out to them is the first step, further isolating them, belittling them, these things are what drove them down that road in the first place. They arn't villains, 99% of them are not Elliot Rodgers, most of them are really depressed people that need help.
i’m pretty sure one can draw a graph with correlated curves comparing the rise of dating apps and the rise of incels. excluding social media which has also done its part, dating apps have skewed everything that used to hold true with regard to attraction and relationships. ie: out of sheer convenience men now lower their standards and correspondingly women raise their standards. so you get this new norm where good looking men who would normally be out of a female’s league, with the sole motivator of getting laid, go for women they know are an easy win. in turn, women now think their requirements should fit this fake narrative and you get everyone vying for people that used to be out of reach to them leaving behind a large pool of undesirable or just average men who become radicalized incels. prior to dating apps warping perceptions of desirability and standards, i think a lot of these incels prob would have had an easier time meeting someone to spend their lives with.

I think incels are a result of a decaying culture. Westerners are increasingly living in atomized realities through technology administered and paired with political institutions that are aligned against men. At a cultural level, much of society has become anti-male (queue the people saying "nu uh"), narcissistically-driven, anti-tradition, and obsessed with a permanent cultural revolution that is devouring itself. The people labeling these young men as "incels" are mainly part of the overarching leftist political landscape, an ethos. They are the inheritors of an increasingly feminized and overly-therapeutic anti-male culture but also the progenitors of a much more deadly cultural revolution that is ushering in a new form of authoritarianism. They are the ones continuing to produce men like these.

Long story short, I'd say that birth control is the foundation all of this culture is built on. With birth control, women are increasingly less choosy with who they sleep with. As a result, men develop themselves less. With birth control, family life isn't as sought after. Fathers are increasingly absent from home life. Single-motherhood is skyrocketing. It promotes a consumerist mentality and skews behavior towards short term behavior and attributes: how attractive someone is and how exciting they are. The male-female sexual dynamic is a foundation for a society and when you take away the risk, it reduces the meaning. This gives birth (pardon the pun) to aberrations like feminists, incels, femcels, cuckolds, etc.
