Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I can tell you that my Reefdynamics calcium reactor will end up circulating a lot of gas if the output is turned significantly down (which agrees with your observations, when you had high flow it got better, when you slowed the masterflex down it got worse). One idea is that you could put the masterflex on the feed side, and essentially push fluid through the reactor. That way the reactor (as long as the output is open to atmospheric pressure) is never pressurizing itself.
I encountered Air Bubbles on 3 separate Occasions. One - I somehow had a bad connection on the CO2 line (the backflow piece came out of the airline and was creating air). Two - I had used brass fittings to go from masterflex tubing to the tubing i use on the reactor and the brass corroded after 2 years, didn't realize it until i opened the closet and saw a small lieak. Three - this is more frequent, after a reactor cleaning, etc air gets in the reactor and needs to purge out. I run the Mflex at max for a while until the effluent is pure water, no burping, and its good
+Greg Demos cool, I'll check my fittings and see if any need tightening.. I did the same full speed purge but they came back.. Gotta be a leak somewhere. Thanks for the reply.

Diep, it has been behaving fine, no issues with excessive air
Did you figure the air bubble issue out? I'm having the same issue with my reactor/Cole Parmer setup. Thanks
