TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is a street bike available at a starting price of Rs. 1,52,082 in India. It is available in 6 variants and 3 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 1,71,554. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by 197.75cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 20.54 bhp and a torque of 17.25 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Apache RTR 200 4V bike weighs 152 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
TVS Motor Company has updated the Apache RTR 200 4V for 2022. The latest iteration of the Apache RTR 200 4V comes with a new headlamp design with an integrated Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) instead of twin-pod units on the 2021 model. The updated design resembles the unit on the latest iteration of the Apache RTR 160 4V. The changes, however, are limited to the headlight setup.
Thus, the 2022 Apache RTR 200 features three ride modes (Sport, Urban, and Rain), preload-adjustable Showa front suspension, a Showa rear mono-shock, TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity, and adjustable brakes and clutch levers.
The mechanical specification retains the 197.75cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, oil-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor produces 20.2bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.8Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The braking setup includes single discs on both wheels. The motorcycle is available in two variants - single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS.
The colour choices for the 2022 model include three options - Gloss Black, Pearl White, and Matte Blue.

The Yamaha MT 15 V2 is powered by 155cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 18.14 bhp and a torque of 14.1 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Yamaha MT 15 V2 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This MT 15 V2 bike weighs 139 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 liters.
The Yamaha MT-15 V2 is the updated version of the MT-15. It’s based on the R15 V4 and has received some major updates in the latest iteration. The Transformers-like LED headlight is flanked by bulb indicators. The sculpted fuel tank with shrouds and the wide handlebar complete the MT-15 V2’s aggressive look.
For 2022, the MT-15 V2 brings in new updates like a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity (Y-connect). It gives you access to phone calls/SMS/email alerts, phone battery status, malfunction notifications, and last parked location.
It’s powered by the R15 V4-sourced 155cc liquid-cooled VVA motor which is tuned to develop 18.4bhp and 14.1Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets a slipper clutch as well.
For the underpinnings department, the MT-15 now gets 37mm upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable mono-shock. Even the old box-unit swingarm has made way for a new MotoGP-inspired aluminum unit. Braking hardware comprises a front and rear disc with single-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 100/80 front and 140/70 rear tyres.
Yamaha offers the MT-15 V2 in four colours: Ice Fluo-Vermillion, Cyan Storm, Raging Blue, and Metallic Black. As for the rivals, the MT-15 V2 has then KTM 125 Duke in its crosshair.

Bro also compare on DIY service, basically on Yamaha R15/M15 it’s very difficult to service on own. To change air filter the fuel tank needs to be lifted. Also coolant change without air lock is impossible. But on RTR it’s very easy to change air filter,oil filter with oil change and easy cost effective brake pads as well. On long run own service maintenance on rtr is better.

I have driven RTR for past two years,and also took rtr and mt for long rides. I feel better riding experiance in RTR than MT. As Dinesh said MT owner is struggling for maintenance after a long ride, @ Dinesh bro, long Ride la irukum pothae vandila maintenance problem varuthu 😁😁..but i really appreciate the VVA in yamaha's engine...where only 2valves is enough for city and traffic riding.on other hand rtr is running with 4valves which is not necessary for city commuting but that makes 0-60km/hr in 3sec. This Costs more fuel consumption in city commuting.

in 2024 is apache still a good option for city ride ( under 2 lakhs range ) !!!?
I own RTR 2004v. Superb comfort while driving Urban and long drives. MT15 v2 has to grip tightly while riding in bypass. Quality is also very good in RTR. MT15 switches and footrests are not better than RTR. City mileage is 36 on highways up to 47 if cruse 80 to 90. I dnt know about MT15 v2. My vote for RTR.
