I would tell them about the shoot, talk about my limited budget but I love their look etc. Expenses will be covered and food provided (if you're not paying them) If you are, you can either state your rate, or ask them what their typical rate is and negotiate from there. Once I have found a model that is willing to do some freelance work, I was wondering if I need to create a "model release form" or an agreement form that specifies 'usage' and 'duration' of photos. I have reached out to some agencies and they all limit the usage of the photos to 2 years and after that I'd have to pay another fee. I wondered what it was like with using freelance models and how did you organise this form? Thanks again! x

I had to pay for a year subscription to message or apply to casting.However I never got any responses. I am launching my fashion brand this month however I don't know how to sign up as a brand if I'm already signed up as a model. I already canceled the auto renew on my model subscription.
Hmm that is something thats come to mind. It's natural to use those closest to you but if you are trying be a big brand the appeal has to exceed the norm.

You can find photographers on ModelMayhem also. A number of them are on limited budgets and are looking for models to help build up their portfolio. So, the possibility of both of you working out a deal is possible. The added option is seeing how many different photographers are in you area and see who would be interested in building their portfolio as well as provide shots for you to build your's as well. Win-win.

Heyyy yes I usually have them sign a model release form! Just letting them know that I own the photo I took and the places that I will use them etc xx

This is such BS. I’ve model for a clothing brands that were not my typical aesthetic and their brand has taken off pretty well
