#16 Cortland clinched their third consecutive Empire 8 championship in a dominant 41-17 victory over the Brockport Golden Eagles. Cortland's defense picked off Brockport quarterback four times and controlled the game throughout.
Cortland (8-1, 6-0 Empire 8) secured their spot in the NCAA Division III tournament after their championship win, and get set to play Ithaca College in the 64th "Cortaca Jug" battle. Brockport (7-2, 4-1 Empire 8) will take on Alfred for their final regular-season game after a tough loss.
