Could you do some truck driving content with POV perspective with GoPro while driving? I think that's gonna more interesting yo your audience. Thanks, have a good day.
Most trucks I've used had DAB stereos (always something good on the rock stations) so you can listen to just about anything. I've got a music player with hundreds of tunes on, a tablet that I can put films on or UA-cam etc when I'm parked up, apps on the phone so I can listen via bluetooth to the rugby live or rugby league news, and currently reading "Anger Is An Energy" by John Lydon if I've got a wait whilst loading/tipping. The bonus for me is the 12v food warmer that can have a pre-cooked meal piping hot in say 90mins, on a long drive switch it on whenever I like and stop where I like, way-hay healthy hot food on the go, who needs services?
Had the perfect class 1 job for Amazon assessed for 2 days passed but decided to decline the job as I couldn’t deal with working at night 😢 back out on the hunt for my first job🙏🏼
People shouldn't be doing the job in the first place if you find it boring. I did my license because i have a passion for trucks. I have been doing the job for 8 months now and i love it. Not a day goes by where i dont regret doing my license. I love the driving and love the job. If someone is to find it boring, then why the hell would they consider paying the money for the license. Blows my mind. I have come across some miserable drivers who say shit like "i hate this job i hate the driving, only do it for the money". People like that ruin this industry in my opinion.
Yes, the Muppets! They always occupy your mind, and the mirrors, sitting there on your arse preventing your intended lane change. It was quite foggy this morning and none of them were posing, displaying their super bright fog/spot lights like they usually do on crystal clear days/nights, in fact most of them on their running lights, and a lot of them Nobby no-lights. They think they are saving the planet by saving electricity. Sorry I do rant on with my lights obsession!
Varies for each company but I worked for someone who had cameras in the cab and all round the truck. Although they wasn't allowed to record audio or watch you on breaks.
You’ve made me want to be a hgv driver!! I have paid for my course, doing my theory as we speak and been watching your vids for tips etc! Thankyou so much, loving these vids so much! Just want to know, I play darts Thursday etc, I know different jobs have different times but could you still have a social’family life etc? Many thanks Nd let’s get driving!!
Best jobs that I found for social life are general haulage. As most companies that you deliver to are only open from 8AM to 5PM Monday to Friday. 5PM everyday you’ll be heading back to the depot for 6PM most days. Although this kind of trucking pays more than some industries, you earn significantly less than other truck drivers. I earn about £75k-£80k a year now, on the supermarkets. But I work many hours (usually over 60 hours), and a lot of weekends and night shifts. The good thing about HGV is that there so many different types of trucks and different types of specific work that you can do. Not all truck driving is the same. So you have a lot of variety to choose from Good luck on your theory and your test. You will be fine😎✌️
First time ever when I had to stay 9h night out I found it very borring. Podcasts, youtube or forcing myself to read book. Not many likes to have conversation. Even when you find someone from the same company 😂 When I drive I try to pick A roads if that doesn't make journey too long. Especially national parks. People behind me would be mad if they knew I had another option to use MW instead of single A road 😂😂
@@truckitpraylethey don't but I do that occasionally on the way back empty. And if it doesn't add more that 30min of trip. But rest of the time I sing country songs 😀
Back in 80s company in Purfleet MAIRS Transport ( Son runs it now Aylesfird Kent) used to order moters without night heater an Radio to be save £100.
Podcasts. Lots of podcasts. This is the way.
Ahhhh yeaaaah!

There are 2 types Truckers and Drivers. This is something i have learnt along the wayA
If you find it boring whilst driving then your not paying attention to all the muppets driving around you.
Fair point, i love it!
It's the waiting on every other muppet that annoys me lol

I normally talk to people on the phone hands free , or sometimes I talk to myself ? Or do I ? Oh and talk sport and LBC I am a white van man
Haha i used to listen to both of them aswell but nowadays i mostly talk to people or listen to audio books.
Do companies have cameras in the cab? As in are they watching your every move

Yeah some companies have cameras insidecthevcam but they will turn off 5 minutes after you stop the engine.
That’s a shame. I’m definitely not into that
Very few have them its usually the big companies like maritime etc that do.
