Just about to fly out to Oz & NZ for a long trip as a novice snorkeller and this looks perfect for me. Quality info as well on iPhone lock settings also the filming apps. I'm a pro videographer with no underwater experience, so it will probably be Filmic Pro for me. Thanks again
I use a sealife sport diver housing that is fundamentally similar however it has an app that pairs with the housing which has a moisture sensor, built in buttons and leak alarms. You also vacuum seal it at the start of the dive. I’d definitely recommend it to beginners as it doesn’t break the bank and still offers great video and pictures
Oh that's so cool! Never heard of that before but will check it out 🙌🏾 Really useful that it can be vacuumed like a proper camera housing. Having that extra security is amazing!
@@KaushYeah the sense of security with the seal and sensors makes it easier to use and not have to worry about getting water into your housing where your phone is with all your important information.
100%, gives so much more peace of mind. Was definitely one thing that I was thinking of when taking my phone underwater but thankfully this housing was very reliable as well 🙌🏾
@@KaushI can imagine. It looks like another great alternative. Also really appreciate the content and loving all the videos you’ve shared. You’ve actually convinced me to upgrade from my iPhone 13 in my housing to a GoPro Hero 12 😂
Hey there! short question about your experience, I use the case as well, did you ever find it hard to attach the dome? The hard plastic makes it really difficult to attach and it never really seem to lock on both sides. Curious about your experience with it! Cheers!
Yes I did! It took me a while to get the hang of it, especially because it needs to be adjusted to whichever lens you are using on the camera. And it needs to be taken off and re-attached back on each time and not slide across as it removes the waterproofness of the dome unfortunately. Once it is attached however, you can get some really nice split shots!
Thanks for the informative video! I'm wondering if I need to get the red filter too. I'm using iPhone 16 Pro Max and I notice that it always autocorrect the colour temperature when using the native camera.
I would use another app like the Lightroom camera or Moment camera app to set your own white balance when shooting, to give you much better control over the settings.
Thank you. Was thinking about using this with an iPhone 15 pro for whale swimming in Tonga. Mainly for skills as I’m already getting video with the action 4. Wondering how critical any of the accessories are like the red filter as I won’t be going that deep.
I would say at that depth a red filter won't be necessary. But do use a third-party camera app like I suggested in the video and set your own white balance.
Great informative videos! I wanna use this awesome case for my iPhone, but i need my glasses both for longdistance and for short. In other words i cant use the case underwater without my glasses... do u have anything in mind i can use?
I really wanted to buy a divevolk housing but what’s holding me back is that it doesn’t allow me using any screen protector as stated on their website. But I think you have tried using the housing with your screen protector on your phone? Besides being easy to be stuck in the housing, does the touchscreen work underwater smoothly? Thanks.
I didn't really have any issues with the touchscreen not working with the screen protector on. It was just the fact that it caused it to get stuck, but I also found a solution for that most of the time.
I have one, had issue with my iPhone camera setting and unable to find what’s wrong with it while on my first dive. Then I try to restart iPhone, and I shut down my phone. 😂😂 Then I couldn’t turn on my iPhone underwater as there’s no side button 😂
@@Kaush But overall is good thou, oh ya removing of screen protector is a MUST! as they mention clearly in the box/ insturction. Well my friend borrowed mine bring to snorkeling, she wanted to try with screen protector against my warning. Then it got stuck to the point impossible to take out. SHe had to rip the gel. Surprisingly the gel is quite tough. And Yay, thanks to that I have a new one now.
@@edmondtan142 oh no! I managed to use the thin card it came with to free the phone when the protector was on by sliding it into the case and separating the screen from the gel
I got Divevolk Sea Touch 4 Max with Iphone 11 pro phone case. I did 5 dives with it to a depth of 40m. The case and mobile phone work perfectly up to 10 meters deep. It is easy to operate the controls of the mobile phone as well as taking pictures. But at a depth more than 10 meters, the pressure completely blocks the control of the mobile phone. It is not possible to take the photo. It is not possible to change and manage any settings on the mobile phone screen. At a depth of more than 10 meters, the mobile phone in this case does not work. Is this cell phone case a scam? Because using it only up to a depth of 10m is useless. What should I do with him? Should I throw it in the trash? Has anyone had a similar experience?
I used my Sea Touch 4 Max more than 1 year and up to 40m. Never occured similar issue like you. Only 1 time I got a drop of water on my phone screen and find it hard to control the touch screen under water. Maybe you have same problem, just make sure there is no water on you phone screen before get it into the housing, will be fine I guess.
Oh wow no I haunt experienced this myself with this case! The gel face of the housing is meant to be designed to handle the pressure so maybe you received a faulty model?

Such a useful review!
Glad it was helpful!
What was the two applications for the phone that you mentioned for better picture quality
For total control of all the functions of the camera, the app that I used is Moment.
Very interesting video, thanks 🙏, could you please share the dimensions of the custom bug you had made for you?
Thanks very much for watching 🙌🏾 it wasn't a custom case, just their standard case for an iPhone 14 Pro Max

I’m hoping I could get Good still photos of whales :)
FIngers crossed 🤞🏾 I'm sure you'll have a great time
@@Kaushthank you. With the benefit of time have you been happy with the stills you’ve gotten underwater with the iPhone using this housing
I have had 3 of these leak the gel inside. I have followed all of the recommendations. Any advice?
Oh no! The only thing that I can think of is that it was faulty when you bought it, or you somehow punctured it on the inside. Sorry to hear!
Great informative videos!

I would suggest maybe then you need a prescription diving mask
@@Kaush u believe i can use the mask for both long and short distance viewing?
@@giorgos7six I am not sure about that to be honest, you would have to talk to your opticians to see if it is possible

Ah damn that's so annoying! Not having the side button to turn on the phone/lock is one thing that's awkward about the housing 😅
