The Philippines have a similar dance that uses long metal fingernails. The dance is called Pangalay and the fingernails the dancers use are called janggay. ❤️

Thailand has so many unique art, both visual and performing. It would be interesting to feature the Thai variation of the bamboo dance, I’ve seen it performed once and always wondered about its history.
