- I am thrilled to share the most extraordinary news. Tombo and Murphy, two senior dogs, each rescued from extreme and highly challenging circumstances, have been adopted together. Tombo was entrusted to us as his owner was dying from bone cancer. Just weeks before her passing, I promised her that I would take care of her dog and that this community would support her daughter through these incredibly tough times. Murphy was discovered on the side of the road in a horrific condition, and it took us many months to nurse him back to health.
This marks the closing chapter of their story and their journey with us at The Great House, as well as the beginning of their new chapter as part of a loving and beautiful family. Remember, you play an essential role in this.

I can see both tombo and Murphy both look sad. Tombo loved his family tremendously. I loved tombo and wanted to adopt him. I hope he is happy soon. Poor babies still don't realize what's going on!! Please love them and give them many years of love and happiness ❤❤❤❤❤

The Germans must be the most loving nation they adopt so many abused animals . Wish we could in Australia but our quarantine regulations are very strict and should be to protect our fauna and flora. We can only support and donate.
Two elderly gentlemen given a chance to live out their lives in peace, comfort and dignity, being loved and appreciated. A fairytale come true. Rescue dogs are special, a bit more patience is needed, since they arrive with some emotional baggage. But they soon adapt and repay kindness being shown to them with love and loyalty. I know it's a happy occasion but it must be hard on Jairo to say adios to so many of his best friends. I'm so glad I got to meet Tombo and Murphy at the Great House because they are exceptional characters.
I know from my own rescue dog that it takes a few weeks before they bond with you, but once they do the absolute love cannot be overestimated.

Oh my goodness! I burst into tears when I saw how calm and confident Tombo was! What a change from the trembling, cowering dog he was! He’s so handsome and regal now. And Murphy! What an adorable moppet! They both looked so happy and comfortable with their new family! Such happy tears for both boys! If it weren’t for the frosted face of Tombo, you’d never guess these were seniors! They look wonderful! Thank you Viktor, Isador and your amazing Teams for the love and care that you pour into these sweet babies. Special shout out to Jairo, who spends so much time with these precious beings, getting to know them, love them, then having to tell them goodbye. You are a HERO! ❤❤❤
I'm sorry to hear that sweet lady passed. Jesus has her in His loving arms. Please take care of her daughter & grandchildren. She is going through loss of mother, beloved Tombo & home issues, as I recall. I am so glad Tombo & Murphy get to have a new & happy chapter in their lives. They were two owners. Tombo used to sleep in the bed of the sister that is still alive but very disabled. Nice if Tombo were adopted in Spain and the old lady could have met her dog sometimes. But life is sad.

You could see Tombo finally relax into her arms as his eyes began doing that slow blink and squint. That's when I knew he and Murphy had found their new, forever home. 🥰
