It doesn't matter how old you are, what you normally listen to, or what your peers think. Most people have the ability to feel beauty when they encounter it, and Ludovico Einaudi is a master at creating pure, boundless beauty.
This is definitely not classical music. No matter what some commentators claim it is. A few violinist joining in and featuring his music on Classic FM doesn't change that. I would put it in the realm of new age prog piano. Real chill out music. If you want Classical you need to explore other composters like Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Haydn. If you love Piano, classical examples would be Beethoven's Moonlight Sonato, and anything by Chopin you might would probably like. In fact, I would suggest you try Chopin. It is easy on the ear and very lovely to listen to. Classical music has a very defined structure and adheres to strict rules of musical composition. it is recognisable as a genre in its own right. Professional classical orchestral musicians are also highly trained and practiced in their craft. The music isn't nearly as free and instinctive and unstructured like Einaudi's. His compositions would probably be somewhere in the region of Grade 5 piano at most, whereas the most demanding classical piano pieces are grade 8 and above - even the simplest is hard to play well. Classical music reviewers tend to dismiss Einaudi's compositions as tosh and Einaudi himself as a one trick pony. I think they are being rather harsh, but they are right about one thing. His music isn't classical and Einaudi's own piano skills are not really all that high. He certainly couldn't handle Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto, based on what I've heard. All the same, I do like a lot of his music, just as I like a lot of new age, prog rock, popular, jazz. His music, as many point out. soothes the soul and is relaxing to listen to. Just lovely.

Einaudi is one of the few artist who manage to catalyse emotions and feelings into theirrs musics. Not simply some key put together, a lullaby talking to anyone's spirit. Something that has the power to calm you, make you think of what happened, happens and will ever happen. You think about what is important to you. This song is an ode to a peaceful reflexion about your world. Ludovico Einaudi deserve to be known, even more that he's now.
Makes me visualize sort of just flying through space. No rocket or spaceship just flying through space peacefully. Looking at all the stars around me and the planets. Looking down at earth. No fear, just wonder and amazement.
When i hear this song, unlike other people who say it makes them happy, this song makes me see the world in a cold void place with fallen soldiers after a battle from the civil war. It depresses me but at the same time i am awe striken. It is beautiful and terrible at the same time. Absolutely beautiful! That string in the back playing it's so smooth and touchy, I feel like it wants to convey something but it's just too sad for it to be loud enough... and piano it's just conveying/ narrating the whole story by changing the dynamics.... ugh man, I absolutely love it!

I love listening to Ludovico Einaudi's songs so much! They always are super relaxing and make me feel just great. And although they are soothing throughout the song, they can still make you really excited to hear what comes next at the high parts! I'm surprised he is not more well known. I don't listen to pianists too much, but when I do I listen to him or Yann Tiersen. They are great!

this is such a "Dance to the Universe" type of song. you know, the kind of song you go outside at night by ur self and look at the stars and get carried away with pure emotions and just dance!
I love listening to Ludovico Einaudi's songs so much! They always are super relaxing and make me feel just great. And although they are soothing throughout the song, they can still make you really excited to hear what comes next at the high parts! I'm surprised he is not more well known. I don't listen to pianists too much, but when I do I listen to him or Yann Tiersen. They are great!

this actually made my pulse quicken as soon as i heard it it was that great, i adore Einaudi's work his music is just fantastic to listen to and just touches my very core with every song he has ever made! i just wish people can adore true talent as much as us who listen to his great pices of art
@Izeig I think to be young and enjoy this music is refreshing to see/hear. I am 21 and love his music, I think the 'spouting' is good...it shows that faith in the younger generation can be restored. About time kids enjoyed more than just lady gaga, beyonce, and all this talent show crap.
