Now I get why people have more than 1 belt sander. I purchased a few different belt grits thinking I’ll just switch them out Willy Nilly like some orbital sander, ha. Bit too laborious for constant changing.
Thanks. I finally put a new sanding belt on my Harbor Freight sander, exactly like the one in your demo. Your video gave me the courage to pull out several screws and loosen the tilt. Worked like a charm. I’m sanding better…like a house afire.
Great video, right to the point! I had tried to figure out how to change this belt for about 20 minutes cold turkey but finally did what I should have started out with, looking up some help on UA-cam! Keep up the fine work!
Excellent, thank you very much! This was exactly what I was was looking for. I didn't have the balls to start dismantle my sander but thanks to you, know I know how to do this. Greetings from Finland!
It's a good idea, while you are working on it, to tighten down all screws, bolts, and set screws. You'll likely be much happier with it's performance. On my HF sander the set screws on the disk table were loose. The wobble went away when they were tightened. Amaaazing! ya big dummy...I sez to myself.
thank you so much for showing us how to do that! This machine is ridiculous for all of those screws to change a belt?!?!? I'll be leaving those covers off thank you very much.
I thought I was missing something on doing a simple belt change. Turns out it's just an incredibly poor designed sander. But thanks, I was able to nicely with your tutorial.
One more thing. If you have trouble tilting the sander vertical, there is a second nut below the first that could be tight. Loosen it too. It is probably there to keep it vertical. I don't know -- didn't read instructions.
Heads up. The power switches on those things are super finiky and it is only made of plastic. Mine stopped working because the plastic housing couldn't stay together causing the two pieces to become dislodged when the switch is flipped and making the cooper seesaw things not stay down.
About that liiltle screw adjustment thing near the top, my model is similiar to yours , what exactly is it for and when is it neccessary? Im a first time owner of one of these things.
"all you got to do....then all you got to do....then all you got to do..." more like gee, is there no servicing button lever or what not, that allows for easy band replacement belt sanders really suck in that matter
Thanks for the video, I tried doing it without looking at any instructions. I never would have figured it out without your video.

Thank you... looks like I'll be leaving a lot of stuff off when I change the belt😂😂😂😂
Diddo ! I am always needing about 4 different grits per project so this isn’t going to cut it ! What a deal 😮
Thank you SO much!! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where to even begin to do this!
Spot on... Just what I needed. 1000% better than the bloody instruction manual. Thank you. Peace n luv from the UK
concise, to the point, timesaving excellence.
Thanks for recording this! It’s a great, simple, easy to follow video that works.

Good, precise instructions. Thanks
Thanks for the video, awesome job of explaining.
Right on the spot. Exactly like mine. So smooth. I spent longer looking for the video than I did changing the belt
Thanks! Great concise video!!!

Great video. Very, very helpful.
Thanks. This helped me out. I bought my sander used with no instructions.
Thank you for the video! Clear, simple, & concise…

BTW, Thanks, Paul. Good vid. I forgot to mention I drilled out the holes in the dust port which made it much better, not perfect, but better.
Very helpful

Thanks Paul. The Central Machine instruction manual is lousy.

Thanks for the video. I almost tore whole fucking machine apart. I just realized what a piece of junk
Very nice. Thank you.
Many thanks for showing us.
Thank you!!
Merci Paul 👍
🙏🏼 thank you
The ONLY thing I wanted to know was how to adjust tracking. 😒
Seriously?
I changed the belt and now it starts, rotates to the right and stops, i adjust and same thing, not sure what is wrong
Thank you so much.

You don't happen to know or have a video on how to fix the Disk Sanding part of the Harbor Freight Belt & Disk Sander would you !!!
Definitely ain't as easy as changing a drill bit.. lol
How do u ajust the tracking

belt sanders really suck in that matter
Dude thanks!!!...those instructions suck balls...
Sorry, but you removed screws that were unnecessary. 9 of yours 5 of mine but no biggy.
Liked it
Dude - nice CR hiding in the background!
What a gigantic PITA just to change a belt. Horrible design. I'll pass lol.
Poor engineering for sure!
Thanks for the video. Very helpful 👍🏽
