I had a situation with the bite on the Coosa similar to what Is seen at 17:00 we knocked their lights out in the first 5 casts. All on a crankbait on one creek mouth.
at 12:60 good luck with that 6 lb spot!!! i have caught them but they are rare! Everything has to be right. The coosa is a great place to get that dream spot. keep fishing!!!!

nobody has to use only his sponsors' baits. guys throw baits from companies that aren't their sponsors in probably 95% of tournaments. Guys still throw the old wiggle warts, rogues, and stuff like that all the time. Certain baits are better than others in certain situations. I remember during this tournement i saw all the boats weighing in as we went to the bass pro in prattville.. i live in montgomery and we fish jordan alot and now jordan itself sucks so now we go to the river, we launch by the lock in wetumpka and dont even think about daring to go to the dam because we have kyacked it and we know how rough it gets... so we float down and fish about untill 2 bends before downtown and then we head home and we have such great days.. they let the eater down all night then by afternoon they are flooring it to the point where you cant see the dock
Absolutely SOOOOO overcommercialized now!!! Just like NASCAR. Cant even watch the whole video. Geez! S/O to my buds Russ (Lane) and Randy (Howell) tho........
DO NOT TAKE these kind of boats next to the dam! Use a 14 ft john boat with 6 hp honda on it! you will be a stud. Stupid people take wrong boats there! Many spots. Great fillets.
Coosa river spots are nasty nasty nasty. They do not like it when you hook them. And they let you know it.
Dmgolfer22 love catching them though, always a good fight.
Outside of Large Mouths I enjoy hooking a spot cause no matter of their size they are feisty

I think he’s saying in general, like throughout all spotted bass fisheries, a 2 pound spot is big.
