A Brief History of Pokemon Remakes

For Pokemon Day 2024, this is a brief and very subjective retrospective on Pokemon Remakes as a whole, and some speculation on what we might see in the future based on the announcement of Pokemon Legends Z-A. I wanted to go over what makes a Pokemon remake, what they used to be, and what they have become. With Pokemon Legends Z announced, I think they are certainly going in the right direction.
Also, Happy Pokemon Day! Very stoked to see Pokemon Legends Z-A announced and a return to Kalos is VERY Needed, as well as a new Pokemon Legends game of any kind. I had this video planned for Pokemon Day so I hope all who celebrate has a blast with the Pokemon Presents and all the Pokemon news!

Great stuff bro, I'm joining the channel, hope you go far, I liked the format. Not my place but if I can offer a tip I'd say not to let your hands inside your pocket so much. It's common to not know what to do with our hands during a presentation but you did well when you were using your hands to gesture and point to things. It only gets better with time so nothing to worry.

I love how you mentioned that for Gen 4, the remakes were split between BDSP AND Legends... they were technically a package deal...
But that's also why I kinda gave BDSP a pass for being the same games. And frankly, I feel people shouldn't complain about that because the Pokemon Company made it very clear it was the same games.
So if you wanted to buy them, you could... but if you wanted something new, you had Legends.
Also for your argument that Kanto was done so much.
It was only the 3rd time Generation 1 was remade... and the previous remakes were OLDER than Gen 4 games....

So we're getting this new Legends game coming out in 2025......I honestly think and hope they will follow what they did with BDSP & PLA to which where we'll get the new game in 2025 but late 2024 we get remakes....personally would really love to see Johto remakes

Honestly I hope so too, but that would mean ILCA would be developing it which didn’t go so well last time imo

@FargusPhil here's hoping they heard the communities feedback and took it on board.....my opinion tho I thought BDSP was not too bad...yeah ovs missing content from Platinum which should have been in there but oh well.....I was playing BDSP more than PLA.....didn't enjoy that much tbh
