I spent ten summers there living on the beach at Armenistis in my late teens early twenties. Boose, dope, camp fire, guitars and flutes at night after dinner up in the village at Maria's and Dimitris restaurant. I went back twenty years later with my son and stayed at Cavos. Wonderful people, amazing island always in my heart. I will return again next year 2020. Ikaria Se Agapo
That is amazing and I'm glad you were able to experience that.. I have always had an inner-desire/unexplainable "pull" to go to one of these Mediterranean island (Mallorca, Ikaria, Sardinia etc.) One day I hope to end up there and spend a long time there
Me too, family is from Thelma...we took the ferry. It’s the only way to get there unless you like horrifying airplane rides in small airplanes. No thank you...the ferry is how everyone gets around.
Ikaria is one of the best destinations. Not yet alienated by tourism. In her pants, which I think is excellent, the visitor can eat a good goat and taste local delicious wine. But also attention to those who exploit our need for a good holiday and try to get rich with poor quality tourism benefits. The campsite in the meadow unacceptable situation at all. Sechta pizzas and crêpes are burnt and try to get you tasty. Hamburger with a lot of salt. Butcher of Agios Dimitrios, all poor quality and expensive.

Hi friend,,,,,
"Alienated by tourism" is a great way to express the idea.
Sad idea.
Gross they crushing grapes with barefeet and girls with hair open :x
What if someone has feet fungus or their hair fall in grapes?
I'll take my chances
This will be let to processing to alcohol after filtering. And I never found a hair in the vine
Sounds like irish music not greek. Strange. Im irish too
This is the traditional melody of Ikaria
It’s the Ikarian dance 100% Greek Ikarian music played with violin and Laouto
According from some myths or theories Irish also came from Mediterranean, Irish has bit different culture as surrounding and other temperament
