January 30, 2025: Richie's Death

This is difficult for me to make this vlog because I'm here to talk about my good friend, Richard "Richie" Brklacich who passed away unexpectedly in Singapore last Saturday. And I would love to have your support to get me to Los Angeles for his graveside service and memorial service on February 14 and 16.

Really appreciated you being willing to invest your time sharing this vlog. I know Richie for several years, met him at the party I hosted in Arizona in 1997 and until when I was a hostel owner in Cambodia in 2017, that is about 20 years but not that close like between you two. I learn some tricks video editing from Richie on travels. I made very stupid mistake for unfriending him and ended up being blocked by him. Oh well, that what it is. I always love one of his travel secret of how to smuggle whiskey into Saudi Arabia. Very clever tricks I never thought. RIP Richie Brklacich and yes, Ridor9th is correct, we lost someone that is important to the deaf community. Hat off to Ridor9th for this awesome VLOG!

Rich was my nephew, and our family is really struggling with his passing. However, seeing this outpouring of love for Rich and the many lives that he's touched has helped us cope. Thank you to his many friends. ❤️

Right now there's a post on DVTV about Riche's surprise death. There are so many replies and comments to that post from people sharing about how much they loved and appreciated his vlogs. I wish Richie could've seen those posts and see how respected and admired he was by the DVTV community, and the huge amount of impact he made in just a year's time. He will definitely be missed.
