- Sitting on the sofa the night before, I did NOT expect to be at Thruxton the next day, but I'm SO glad I was, because an impromptu trackday was exactly what I needed!

Hi Steven, you're very welcome to a passenger ride some time if our paths cross! Regarding tips for Roadsports, providing your car is largely up to the spec required, you want to be as close as possible to the power to weight limits for class IMO, and be on the freshest and very best tyres you possibly can! It's a great series, and we've really enjoyed it over the last 2 years.

The track day looked great Nick, the car looked fast and you can tell you know the track. I need to get myself something for the track next year has to be 1.8t powered great engines

went too a track day for my first ever track day at thruxton this last week and it was amazing, although they didnt have cones out all over the track
I use to run with Bose QC35 headsett in my mad noisy Audi B2 16vT quattro.
Remove all but the sweet induction noise and the good part of the exhaust note.
Amazing content my guy. looked like a really fun and friendly day! (shame about the tesla owners feeling like they were the guys in the right....haha)
Some good racing there mate. Have you not done enough races yet ro take the black x of? That a tight squeeze getting into the place.
Novice cross comes off after 6 races. I've only actually done 5!
Was the car under the 90db limit? Going on Monday and unsure if my cars quiet enough
I have a special Thruxton / Bedford exhaust I fit just for these days to get it quiet enough.

Is it still a stroker, after the failing Woessner pistons? How much hp/Nm are on? And what pistons do you got in now? Wiseco Stroker seem not very trustworthy based on the structure itself..
I am about to build a stroker too (with G25-550) and got some Woessner ready - my brother drives them without problems in his S2 -, but got a bit worried, after seeing a lot of pictures and your videos...I wrote Woessner too and linked your video, asking if the problem is known and if they've changed something....I think they didn't understand me, because the reply is a bit confusing....gotta call them in a few days or I drive by, it's not that far away from me...
the old engine was stock stroke with Wossner pistons, and all 4 failed very badly after about 7k miles. The new pistons are JE stroker pistons at 83mm. I have FAAAAAAR more confidence in the JEs based on the experiences others have had.
@@TeamPrawnRacing ah okay, I only read about failing stock stroke pistons, couldn't find one with stroker (1.8 -> 2.0, 2.1) with failing pistons but it looks like they are exactly the same structure. Do you know if they has a 2618 or 4032 alloy?
Mine are 4032, the Wiseco were 2618 and not suitable for daily drive
