Oh, that made realize I didn't link my sources in the description, I've updated it so if you want to dig in, the Abandoned Southeast site was a good read.
This is such a shame. The school across the street owns the property and could restore the buildings to their former glory. The Black-owned schools are always forgotten and neglected by their community. Especially, the historical private schools.
I learned something today!
Thanks for sharing. So sad. Didn't the Holly Springs police department use one of the buildings as it's station for a while after 2000?
I'm not sure on that one. would be interesting to know and it would explain some of the more modern bits in Hammond Hall
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am from here and moved away, but I definitely will inquire to see how these buildings can be restored.
Also when it's on the national registry you can not use just any building materials.
I am from there and always have had questions. What sources did you get you your fats from>? I'd like to read more.

Exactly. Rust College.
They had a 4 million dollar federal grant to fix up the auditorium and did work on the front then apparently gave up.
I sure in today's time it would be alot more than 4 million. And if I'm not mistaken within that grant they had to pay the gov. for it.
Neat video. I'd never considered using drones to explore old buildings. I bet at some point you'll save on not needing tetanus shots. :D
That's how I got my booster. I stepped on a nail in an old dilapidated building. Ouch!
First!
