he meant to say 'the prodigy' and 'frodo' anyway, the real part, the code, could be done much better, i suggest looking for 'arduino sequencer'.But hey, nice soldering.
Usually I don't say this, but you are a genius. With that age with this interests, and so casual and relax. Keep it hard. Inspiring stuff here! Thank you
Engineering is punk. Subversive. And you embody that ethos. Never thought I'd hear pull up resistor or diode explained so simply...as in 'this is what it is. This is what it does. This is what it is for. Move on.' Love the spaghetti mess, the apparent drill sloppiness while driving home the value of pilot holes, the well used bench, the old Apple ][, the 'just try it' bias. May your videos inspire legions.
with the Arduino and motorized potentiometers, you could make a 256 steps sequencer out of this. add a control knob or 2 buttons and a screen to display the step you're in, and voila.
Clearly @‘s don’t work here, I dunno I ate some mushrooms a few hrs ago, fuckit. Btw I’m bout to build a thing outta ur super simple osc, just cause it is indeed a super simple osc... ide tell more, but I’ll just send vid when I’m complete
Its funny. I was a specialist for sequencing in the 80's and you are telling exactly what we did that time with equipment that had a weight of hundrets of kilos....😂
Oh my F'n G, this is exactly what I have been looking for, buying the components as soon as I finish here :) Thankyou so much and keep pumpin out the sound....
Damn this channel is speaking to my soul. Currently getting my bachelors in electrical engineering. Love music, making weird sounds and beats. I am ready to make some stuff!!!
Thanks so much for sharing this project. I thought I’d give making one a go and it came out very nicely. I shrunk it down with 3.5mm jacks to work with eurorack and smaller buttons. Built it in its own little box powered off a 9v guitar pedal power supply. Works a treat. One query, why did you go with separate jacks for forward and reverse rather than a switch?
Hey Sam, never usually subscribe or comment, but just wanted to say well done with the lmnc project in all its many guises. To tell the truth, I used to skip your vids and dismissed them as with 99% of the usual self proclaiming youtube genius instructor vids out there I come by. It seems we are, however, on the same wavelength so to speak, and that can be a difficult one to describe or communicate with (m)any "real world" people I meet. I admit, reluctantly, you have won me over and I now enjoy your vids and find them to be a source of inspiration to continue on with the soldering iron and sonic weirdness, even when nobody understands what the hell I'm trying to build(myself included), or why....lol. Also a big fan of Ken Stone and his CGS. Keep up the good work mate. Heres a link to another site Ive only recently discovered which I think you might enjoy and be inspired by(If you haven't come across it yet), I think Gieskes is a dutch guy, makes some awesome crazy shit.Just about to check your site for the first time... later bud
Started to build this and got idea: why not switch some pins and take 2 analog inputs for pots, and one digital out for integrated trigger/clock.. Thanks for these :)
I'm in awe of your brain, I'm London based like you man, if you're ever about I would love to buy you a pint to learn something something off you! Keep up the great work :)
ai would honestly love to see a tutorial series where you DIY a functioning euro rack setup that can do the basics for as little and as simply as possible starting with the rack and oscillators and working your way up! that shit would be rad
the Prodigy squeezed in one person
this is guy is leaps above Prodigy
@@frooshante - He definitely is now.
Prodigy IS one person - Liam. He made all the music
he meant to say 'the prodigy' and 'frodo' anyway, the real part, the code, could be done much better, i suggest looking for 'arduino sequencer'.But hey, nice soldering.
He is Frodigy!!

From 1:45 onwards it sounded like Rick and Morty's Interdimensional Cable.
Love how you narrate the procedure like a soccer match! Very entertaining to watch even if I will never build that sequencer.
Having the build explained while watching the video is vastly easier to comprehend than if this was written up in a tutorial. Solid job
This is the best channel on UA-cam
I'm starting to realize just this very thing myself.
Usually I don't say this, but you are a genius. With that age with this interests, and so casual and relax. Keep it hard. Inspiring stuff here! Thank you
His narration sounds like an episode of Rick and Morty
lol was thinking the same
Fake doors
First they take the dingle bop and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches....
That’s because both are impromptu real-time talking over some footage.
i wish they would put him in an episode
I’m going to make a full version of the jam at the end and pop it on the patreon. 👍👍🙃🙃 this week
What's the metalic plate at the left of this synth with that push button? Thank you.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER sounds SO Huge! Love it!
This thing looks like a firehazard... is it?

Make a 256 step sequencer to go with the 100 oscillator synth.
Poly. :P

Yes but we both know we just wanna see 256 buttons.
Man, that jam at the end was fantastic. I'm extremely jealous of your setup.
i still watch that lil’ jam once every few months, it’s so good damnit
Your museum is literally the only reason I would come to the UK
This truly is the Jamie Oliver version of DIY synth electronics
This is by far and away the best channel on UA-cam.
@lookmumnocomputer I deff gotta say the evenness of your hand drilling holes into panels is impeccable...

Wow, neat. Brilliant video, as always. This end song totally hyped me up for the whole week I think !
Wow. I'm trying to revise for a maths exam but had to put the book down for a few minutes to continue watching this. You're a beast.
Love watching these videos of your build process. Thanks for taking the time to make DIY synths more accessible!
your chanel is the best thing that has ever happened to youtube ! thanks for what you do !
Wow dood..all your vids are impressive but that tune at the end was certainly my fav..amazing bro
Your build videos are so ADD... I can't stop watching!
You might be my first patron, i love all about you and everything you're doing too xxxx
Its funny. I was a specialist for sequencing in the 80's and you are telling exactly what we did that time with equipment that had a weight of hundrets of kilos....😂
Enfin un pur défenseur de l' analogie en ces temps de numérisation permanente.J'adore vos vidéos et je vous soutiens.Encore, encore et encore!!!
Love these diy vids, Sam. Working on my synth RN.
This video is like a The Streets song. Love it.
2:24 🤣 what! I love this dude! I'm definitely going to build my first Synth soon. Love this stuff so much!
5:00 The Arduino's AtMega328 chip has internal pull-up resistors you can enable thru software :)

This should be on 'Die Sendung mit der Maus'. :D
you are a madman Sam, awesome, just lovely!
That waS actually my favourite song of yours!
This kid is a bloody genius, well done, mate!
Awesome vid! Probably my favorite channel, you deserve a few mil subs, keep it up!
You make learning fun, and also very loud. 10/10.
I feel like the step by step was an episode of "Interdimensional Cable" from Rick and Morty.
Thanks for showing us the sequencer!
That was great I am going to try it out for sure~!
Nice basic explanation of what a sequencer actually is! Love your narration style.
You are a force of nature with Rick Wakeman/Brian Eno genes running through your body.
You are mad in the best possible way. Keep it up! ✨😍❤️
You have great timing I've been studying how to make the baby8 and all ready have ordered all the parts 💕
This is freaken awesome! Made me happy. Going to make it!
wow this is awesome. nice explanation on how things work without getting too jargon-y. I'm going to try this out I have all the parts lying around!
Thank you for these master classes! I'm absolutely in it.
yer my new hero bro, just as i can't enough noise... my new pusher
LMNC really works his but off! Like the demo toon!
Inpressed, glad i found this channel.
I think it would be real cool to add some FSR (force-sensitive resistors) as analog inputs to the arduino too!
Diooooddeees! In the midst of this build. Thanks for the instruction/details!

You are a F.....in genius man!!! I´d like to see you building effect pedals for synths like overdrives or stuff like that. Great video ! Thanks a lot
Brilliant....defo the best tutorial vids on the interweb. 😁
Brilliant! I have begun building my own circuits also... Love the presentation!
Bru-tal.... Enjoying your work !!! Awesome !!!!
You are the Guru of Synth making....Keep up the good Work My Man ;)
mightily inspiring. loving to see the process!
Everything about this video kicks ass
Holy shit man I've only just found your Channel and it's FUCKING AWESOME!! Keep em coming!
How am I just discovering this amazing channel?

Now its time to catch some videos! :D
Sam, you should be doing workshops on this 😎
This is amazing! Great project added to my list of cool stuff I want to make! Thanks for that!
Dude ! You are the man! Going to be building this very soon, will be my xmas-new year build :) Will let you know how I get on with it definitely!

Hey friend, most arduinos have internal pullup resistors that you can use with pinmode($foo, INPUT_PULLUP). Very useful!
Those push buttons will outlast you. They are the same design as used in arcade machines.
We need a french synth enthousiast like you
I learned so much from watching this. Amazed!
You always do some brilliant "fings"!
Man. You are awesome. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the good work.
This is one of my fav music how to out....thanks mate
Love your style! Great vid! Thanks!
Started to build this and got idea: why not switch some pins and take 2 analog inputs for pots, and one digital out for integrated trigger/clock.. Thanks for these :)
This guy is amazing!! So glad i subbed!!
I love this style "that is cancer - so just do it outside"... thats unique...
only now realizing just how good hes gotten
Effing delicious mate! I'd live one of these. It's beautiful as well!
To do soldering with such music on the background... it's cosmic!)
I'm in awe of your brain, I'm London based like you man, if you're ever about I would love to buy you a pint to learn something something off you! Keep up the great work :)
that's amazing, I wish I had the minimum knowledge of the technical components of a module
You are freaking brilliant, mate!
Dude that is dope af. i want to make my own gear now thanks for inspiring me
if I had seen this video like 15 years earlier in my life- I surely would have made other career choices.... nice channel right here
this guy is a facking crazy genius and very generosity!!
Ma boy here SPITTING BARS
Incredible Talent! Keep up the good work
you are the best man, cant wait to make this! thanks

swarm69 check out synth diy guy he’s good at the! 😎😎😎
You gove me such funny vibes😂, I like your energy. Subbed
you just earned a sub for your creative process
Absolutely perfect timing man! I was looking to build my own sequencer because they're just so expensive (300+ euros for a simple doepfer!)
Sadly AliExpress is not big into EuroRack modules.
(Some cool T-shirts and cheap patch cables though.)
Great build and video ty LMNC
Your modules look like shit ! Absolutely love it ! 10/10 Cheers
