"Drawing inspiration from his life and movies, B.I blends the two in the penning of the song lyrics and the shooting of the music video. In “M/V Making Film,” B.I described how he wanted to shoot the music video like a film. Though he admits that he hasn’t taken acting classes, he impressively conveyed his feelings in the music video. The cinematic music video begins with sounds and visuals of waves in the ocean. As if resurfacing from his hiatus, B.I emerges from the cold waters wearing a dress suit. Regaining his senses and becoming more aware of his surroundings, he reaches the seaside, sits, and lies down to rest from his troubles.
In “Countdown Live,” B.I described the meaning of the song title. The Korean title “해변 (hae-byeon)” translates to “beach” in English, whereas “illa illa” has no meaning, but can be used to represent the sounds of the waves of water washing over the sand. The translated lyrics “Oh, at the end of my sleeves is a beach” / “‘Cause I wiped out the water flowing on both cheeks” refer to how the tears he sheds become not just the water, but also the sandy shore. This imagery is captured stunningly well in the music video and reflects the outpouring of his emotions.
At the end of the music video, a different type of wave appears, mirroring the key element of water. B.I sits in the studio recording as credits begin to roll - they start as sound waves, signifying his musical tears, then mix with his birth name HANBIN KIM and IOK MUSIC x 131 LABEL. The credits continue to roll on the screen, highlighting all the people who have joined and helped him to create this beautiful masterpiece and on his continued path to improving and successfully pursuing his passions. People are like water: flowing, changing, and healing. It’s good to have B.I back in a space that feels like home where there is hope for the future."

B.I is super special. He's one of those people that proves that u could use the shit you face in life as the perfect manure to grow and blossom. His lyrics are unparalleled! This album was a masterpiece ❤️ I went crazy over Waterfall, Illa illa, and Illusion. Even my 5yr old son keeps repeating those songs. (He easily gets irritated with other generic kpop songs, haha).
BI and Ten(WayV) are the 2 artist that invigorated my interest in the current kpop scene. They are the best of their generation. I can only hope they get the recognition they deserve. Still, what matters most, is the how deep they have touched the lives of those who knew their story and their artistry.
PS Illusion have a philosophical feel to it. I'm well acquainted with Vedic and Bhuddist philosophies and B.I's lyrics touched on stuff relating to those without even knowing.. he's amazing
He truly is a gem. I'm forever grateful I decided to devote time to his music. It has offered me nothing but happiness...happiness and sadness and hope. I know what feeling like an outcast is like...all too well. I would love to tell him in person how much his music moves me ❤️🙏🏻🥲
@@marcogennuso I've been selectively interested in kpop since BoA and Rain generation and I stopped after 2ne1 and BigBang became inactive and got fed up with kpop when it became too popular cuz it felt like it was no longer about music and art anymore but about capitalism. I thought lots of idols feel so manufactured and lack soul. But then B.I and Ten suddenly blossomed and unleashed their unique colors. It's beautiful to witness their growth.🥰 With all the mass produced kpop noise, I'm glad I found a few gems.

Yesssss, if I didn't like doing this, I wouldn't. Some of my favs don't even get a lot of views in comparison to others (The Boyz, Stray Kids...) but I still make videos of their stuff because I genuinely like them! I still need to react to other songs I haven't heard from Ten yet!

He is never fixed to one concept or style so all his solos are so different but I believe this year we will be getting a mini album from him, the very first for an NCT member so I'm looking forward to what he comes up with next. One thing for sure though, his solo dance practices are not to be missed whether you make a reaction to them or not. Also his live performances are fire. He did Dream in a dream and New Heroes in SuperM concert and that's how a lot of his fans who didn't know him before got baptized into becoming a fan. More power to ur channel 👍

Okay, B.I. is on my daily Playlist, but watching you discover this made me cry all over, again. I was super happy with his latest album, it showed that he had moved on and was throwing great music at us. But, those Waterfall days... we were emotional messes. Props to B.I. for hanging in there and overcoming! I love that man!

About the credit thing, he makes sure to show credits because it was made an issue back then when some of the songs he wrote for other artists didn't credit him. I hope what i'm saying makes sense, i'm sorry for not being good at explaining things., i just love how poetic B.I is with his lyrics, his passion for music shows.

Which song is my favorite....wow, um all of them. There are a few albums that are perfect in my opinion and this is one of them. Btw illa illa doesn't have a meaning. if you write illa illa in cursive, they will look like waves and it fits the song because the title of this song in Korean is haebyeon which means beach
