Thank you for the comment! I bought the Zonepak new, but it was on sale when I got it. I think it was $30 off. The Zonepak is a solid machine. My biggest peeve with the Zonepak is that you have to level it (it also gets unlevel) so I was spending a lot of wasted time trying to adjust the heating plate angle to be parallel to the base. A minor gripe is that you have to wait for it to cool some before changing stamps, with a Kingsley you have a removeable type holder with an insulated handle. There are some other minor reasons, I will explain in a future video! The Kingsley is not a perfect machine, it won't magically make you a pro at stamping haha.
Many people use washers and these work well. I have a round leather hole punch set that I use. IT comes with nine sizes and lets me pic the one I want. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CW1Z6GXQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use a set of leather hole punches all in various sizes. You can use washers, but you'd need a variety of different sizes depending on how wide your fold over is.
Nice rebinds 👍🏽
Another super helpful video. Thanks for this.
What thickness is that Minerva Box?
This Minerva Box is thinned to .9mm by Rocky Mountain Leather.
You haven't been foil stamping long. Did you buy Zonepak new? What don't you like that you would trade for a Kingsley so soon?
