father since I started hearing the word god I decided to confess my self but the churches are under lockdown so I sat in front of the eucharist on mobile and I pronounced my sin but i am not that spiritual that god will hear an forgive me I am just waiting for the church to open n reconcile my self to the priest Amen

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayers of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
I believe in confession and the priest represents Jesus. I have a Picture in my mind that Jesus is behind the priest during that time. But my question is, isn’t there a punishment in some way for what we have done. For e.g stealing, I have learnt from my childhood that till you give it back you are not forgiven.

You can take an appointment with a priest from your Parish and he will surely hear your confession.
