longtime outdoor crafter here our canopy broke at the middle joint i cut a small piece and put a bolt on either side of the brake to hold the new center pivot in place . most damage occur in high winds we have found that 5 gallon buckets of water work great as weights, some no slip mat glued on the bottom help - doggy augurs work the best IF you can use them- ALWAYS weight or stake down!! we once saw a canopy Sucked up AFTER a storm went by 200 ft in the air flipped upside down and dropped on a car NOT a good day for anyone there. also if you are at a show many times you can pick up a damaged canopy in the dumpsters after the show for parts, im kind of a hoarder in that way:) good luck all have fun
Thanks for the tips! The bucket weights and doggy augurs are great ideas. I can't imagine seeing a canopy fly like that-wild! I'll keep those suggestions in mind. Thanks again!
I am in need of tightening the area that moves between the canopy rails, mine have too much play and makes the top bars bow, looks like rubber washers but nylon might be better for squeezing?
@@brentkasl6510 check at the hardware stores-- lowes , home depot ect. you might find some thin steel but originals were nylon i believe so they slip against each other
So $25 in parts, drill bits and saw blades plus 2 hrs of labor plus the chance you'll do it wrong or cut off your finger vs. buying a new 10 x10 canopy at Walmart for $65? (and keep the old one for spare parts)

@@BuckleUpWeb we have also used the little boat ratchets- 5/16 cord to form an X in the sides to keep the canopy from twisting and racking
