Amar Singh Chamkila had two marriages during his lifetime. His first wife was Gurmail Kaur, and together they had two daughters named Amandeep Kaur and Kamaldeep Kaur. His Second wife was Amarjot Kaur. Chamkila and his second wife Amarjot Kaur were killed, along with two members of their band on 8 March 1988 in an assassination. Both Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur were renowned singers of Punjab at that time.

Yes guys its a true story of AMAR SINGH CHAMKILA, most famous singer of punjab of his time, he was so famous that in 365 days Chamkila and his wife Amarjot did 366 shows, Chamkila made other punjabi singers to literally go jobless.
Sadly he and his wife were assassinated in 1988, at the age of just 27 and 28 respectively.
