How do the Magmas do in their first watt? I wonder if they are better than a type 45 or type 46 based amplifier in DHT SET. Though the type 46s are extremely low power, a mere 1.2 watts a piece (not the lowest, just look at 205Ds and 71As, which linger in the 700mw). Probably won't make a Magnepan sing, compression drivers andHigh efficiency drivers (AER, Lii, Atelier Rullit, Voxativ, Cube) on the other hand...
Go Audio-GD. Kingwa is very reliable and he designs some very excellent equipment. His R7 DAC is considered a Superdac capable of surpassing the Chord DAVE, while his amplifiers hold some Cohones in the audio world. I believe his Master 10 integrated does 500 wpc at 4 ohms for around $2500, though he has cheaper offerings down to under $1k.
Audio GD's Master 2H monoblocks are pretty amazing, peak at 1KW at 2 ohms, and are $4k.
For me its matching amps with budget!
Totally, same with me . But I had a request to give those an idea if budget were not so much a restriction, so heres my best attempt . ;-)

I would like to know if you've ever heard the Audionet Amplifiers?
Hey Mikey! Do you know of any good amps that are in the 1500-2k range? Like a class AB putting out about 200W /channel?
Used Parasound A21
