@FASTgraphs - Question.... If I deleted my sold holdings and again replicated it as I experienced that the Total Return and Net investment changed. My question is, when I again restored it as it was before deletion, including the sales of the holdings per data/price/number of shares when it happened, then it should show correct Total Return and Net investment, right? Just want to make sure that FG is not showing the information incorrect. Appreciate your help and I wish you lovely day.
Looks great. Especially total EPS growth of the portfolio is something you will not find enywhere else. Just small suggestion to make some button to toggle closed positions in historic graphs too. I like to look at my actual portfolio in historic charts and I dont like to have there some positions I had 10 years ago for example. So I usually deleted my old holdings for this reason but with the new advanced portfolio feature its better to keep closed positions in Fastgraph.s
Colton this is great but my question is about the historical data transfer. All my accounts are in Schwab which does allow me to download an excel file that could be transported. However, that excel file has a very specific format and does not contain all the historical dates for buys and sells. You mentioned that you plan on working with some of the larger Brokerage companies and maybe that will be the magic link that allows the data including the historical data to be transferred to Fast Graphs? Thoughts?
We are working currently on this connection, but schwab unfortunately only allows up to 4 years of historical transactions. Your current holdings data would be pulled though. Shwab's export should give you good enough data to slightly modify to work with our import csv process. Their export, like their API, only allows up to 4 years of transactions which is very silly IMO. I've called them and they state that you need to go look at historical statements and manually pull them from there. We are working to see if the API connection for schwab will eventually allow us to pull the entire transaction history of the account.
