"You call it failure, I call it process of elimination" Man, that's the best way to put it!

So true. This is why it bothers me when people eat the same foods and won't try new stuff every chance they get. I find that people who are that way with food are that way with everything. You'll never find what you like best or what works best if you aren't trying new and different things.

So inspiring, it is not how you start that matters but the fact that you start and the lessons learned along the way. As a motivational speaker, one of the key things I impart to people is that without a clear understanding of how you're going to make your vision a reality, it is just a dream or an idea that you have with no sense of direction. ET is always very intentional in his speeches in ensuring that his audience understands this. Also having a great support system is important, but irrespective of whether you do or not, you must show up for yourself first. Fantastic show!

I'm not gonna lie Eric Thomas I have been listening to you for years. And I would like to say is that I have not been executing at all! I learned a lot from you I even subscribed to breathe University last year. I've been my own worst enemy. I feel like I don't have it in me right now to get to the next level. I don't know what's holding me back. I get Motivated for a couple weeks and then Im right back doing the same shit I did before! Im a sad story! But today i listen to something on a pod cast that struck a cord now i get it! I think i finally got it!

LONG POST BUT WORTH THE READ...
I can't understand how 3 people could think this was a thumbs down. Let me tell you how inspiring these guys and ET have been in my life. Last year January I was sitting at my computer scrolling and I came across ET's
    I CAN
    I WILL
I MUST and let me yall, I was at a very low point in my life suicidal thoughts was rampant and I just kept repeating I can, I will, I must.
Fast forward to this year found myself in the same position 2-16-19. God saved my life and I made him a promise that I would do whatever it is that I called to do. On 2-26-19 had my first therapy session and 6 months later at 53 years old I re-enrolled to college GCU, and my GPA is 3.3. I listen to back episodes of the Podcast and listen every Thursday. Yup very inspiring ET is my personal spiritual advisor one day I will meet him and tell him.😂😂😂😂😂

Cee I appreciate you! So egoless and deliberate about where you are headed. More importantly, all to bring us with you! You all had the ability, audacious determination to show us what commitment to the plan will produce. ET is the people’s champ of MY era! Sacrificed a lot to be such a great example. Viable! Remaining effective throughout your existence. Thank you all Carl and Mal too. Everyone of your spouses and ball that represent a support system for you guys. Mom use to say. If you can’t help, the next best thing to do is get out of the way! We have to protect those of you all that put it all in the line to free us. Your Harriet Tubman podcast solidified your passion to help us gain control of our lives and become free to be great! Our choice, our responsibility to work hard to produce it! Love you guys!

This was a really good episode. A few recent ones where just them saying "you have to be in the 1% by being in the 1%" kind of stuff and it was really annoying. This was a huge turnaround and they actually gave practical advice and specifics of what they did. It was also really relateable because I quite my job to draw comics and for over 2 years I only made like $800 per month. I also wasn't very good at it when I started but I was like if I do this 12-15 hours a day, 7 days a week, I will be decent in a few years. I knew my plan but others only saw where I was then and the judgement was hard. Now I'm a lot better and make more and have gotten contracts with comic companies and everyone is really surprised. I listen to this channel a few days a week because I can get burnt out and they sort of reset my brain when that happens. Great episode, will definitely bookmark and listen again in the future.

It's definitely a lot closer to 20k hours if you want to master something. If you want to be good then 10k hours will get you there but they've estimated that people who are masters at their craft are more like 20k+ hours. It actually makes sense too because that's like 10 years full time. If you look at any tradesmen they aren't even fully trained until they've worked that long.

Common Eric, there's no excuse for not exercising 7 days a week. He talks about going 120 but you can't when you're not exercising. On those days where he's busy he could still do 15min of working out. Even if you really can't do a proper workout you could do 15min. Get a jump rope, do the stairs, do pushups/crunches. There's tons of stuff you could do at home for 15min to get your heart rate up. You almost never have an excuse for not doing at least a mini workout.
