I just picked up the DCF510 from Lowe’s. They had a deal where you get a 5Ah PowerStack for free. For some reason, the ratchet was on clearance for 1/2 price. Add the 5% discount for using my Lowe’s card and I got them both for $118.25
You did really good explaining the ratchets but one thing you forgot to mention you can reverse the Advil so you can use it both ways in case you're in a tight spot you can flip the ratchet
I appreciate the battle between dewalt and Milwaukee. Both keep getting us better tools. I own both. So far Milwaukee packout is the only thing dewalt doesn’t compete with and no the tough system boxes aren’t even close. My friends that had the dewalt have ALL switched to the Milwaukee.
@@homesteadgarage I got it when it first came out last year. I’ve been using it every day in the shop and spinning the socket before lowering it onto a bolt for extra torque. It has taken a few falls off a ladder to the point that one battery broke in half but the ratchet still works. I regularly oil the head to clean out the gunk and help it spin faster. I super glued the hold switch in place within the first few days. This ratchet is a tank and I will be ordering another one to have as a backup. If DeWalt discontinues it I will switch to a different brand without hesitation before buying one of these bulky sealed versions. Even though I have all DeWalt tools and a drawer full of batteries my time is worth more.
@@homesteadgarage as I suspected they’re getting rid of it. It’s just now out of stock at Lowe’s but there’s still some on other sites. I ordered another one now while I still can. I have too much invested in 12v.
The 961 should be in 3/4" category based on its weight and size.. dewalt might make d-handle 1/2" just to be the strongest 1/2" impact wrench on the market

I think Milwaukee is the first to get the product out until somebody else makes a faster/ better machine. It also depends on the company invested, officers and innovation team. There are plenty of companies that make roster changes to increase product growth.

And then the company shifted their attention to cutting the weight and size instead of adding huge torque improvement, which is more important in high torque category.. most other brands are getting bulkier. It's only the milwaukee that gets smaller and lighter
Won’t be buying DeWalt anymore. They just laid off and shut down the U.S. factory. Now they are just like any other tool brand, might as well slowly switch to Milwaukee.

I only found it at one store. I checked three others and they all had the ratchet at full price.

I have the dcf503eb and I would really like a sealed version. I’m able to sneak it into spots that nothing else can reach because it has a thin neck.

from my discussion with Dewalt, they are planning on stepping up there game a bit.
At this point they got to. Milwaukee been beating them up pretty bad in the new and better tools arena.
