i love cool tone colors and eyeshadows so much. but i have a warm undertone and whenever i put greyer tones on my eyes they emphasize my dark under eyes a lot.
I love how this look turned out! Cool toned 90s eye makeup on POC is severely underrated. I have a book called Latina Beauty from 2000 and it features a frosted glam eye look on JLo, a soft cool eye look for Rosario Dawson, and Rita Hayworth's iconic 70s pin up eyes

You did a great job with this cool tone eye makeup without it looking too frosty. The 90s girls needed a blending tutorial and a class in color theory.
as an olive tan/medium girlie with a warm undertone, thank u so much for this 🥺🥺 I love smoky brown + gray eye looks but most tutorials dont really work for skintones like mine 💗💗💗 if there's one thing we can turst u to do its create tutorials to help the brown girlies
Pls can you try this: Apply a lighter shade of concealer on your lips and then put a lipstick that looks so different on brown skin maybe it will look like how it looks like on white and paler girls BTW Love you Queen💓
It's so funny to me how 90s makeup is now "retro glam," LOLOL!! Like, girl- I grew up in the 90s, and I do NOT feel that old dammit! But it's hilarious to me how my youngest kid is into doing the "90s look" and describes it to me like I've never seen it before...😅😅😅
FYI you can get the same look much cheaper with just the Kiko Milano Soft Nude Eyeshadow Palette in Cool Shades, it's my favourite cool toned/grey/silver palette
Hi Monica I’m coming to the states next month and really wanna buy some brown girl friendly makeup. Can you do a basic must haves of each category???? Till really save some time on research
As a dinosaur (ha ha ) I am just going to add we used our fingers for application. I don't know anyone that used makeup brushes back then, unless it was the stuff that came with the makeup.
In the 1990s no warm tone girl ever said they couldn't wear cool tone. As a dark brown girl I wore it all the time and loved it. The modern day hype is warm tone is for warm tone girls and cool tones is for cool tone girls. Back then we did what we wanted, we weren't forced into a box like today.

90s makeup DESERVES yearly comebacks...everyone looked amazing in that era!
Wow I was just thinking how unflattering it was on both examples. I guess that really shows how subjective beauty is!
90s and 00’s makeup has made a comeback within a few years and Im here for it.
in a few years the clean girl make up will make a comeback. i'd feel like a fossil when that day arrives
@@blentoasdadSame 😂
Me too! 🥰

00s makeup. This was my exact go to for 2010-2014.

already knew whatever look u put together with that palette was going to be 🔥, all the tones looked so pretty when u held it up
I gasped. Ugh beautiful

Rita Hayworth was not Latina😂

This is really 00s makeup. Paris wasn’t on our radars till the early 00s and On the 6 was late 1999 so that’s even a stretch.
Love the way your eyes look with those colors 😊❤
I loveeee the y2k look I feel like is so pretty .
This was my go to partying makeup look back in 2011 😂🥰❤️
Omg, you made frosty eye look SO GOOD
This look makes your eye color pop 😍
YOUR EYE MAKEUP EATSSS we need more cool toned 90’s look for brown skin we love the representation
You did a great job with this cool tone eye makeup without it looking too frosty. The 90s girls needed a blending tutorial and a class in color theory.
I think it's because most people didn't use brushes to apply their makeup until a little later - even fingers were recommended in magazines, lol!

I feel like these grey gunmetal colors look so good on brown skin + brown eyes
Grey eyeshadows are so pretty. My favorite is a metallic gunmetal shade in pencil or shadow or both.
I lived in this look back then, even as a natural ginger! The cool tones being out the zip in my hazel eyes ❤
take a shot everytime she said "cool toned" 😂
Love this on you!!!

I feel like that on Paris was definitely early aughts tho
It’s giving old school Pamela Anderson ✨ all you’re missing is the perfectly imperfect messy updo and the frosted nude lip! ❄️👄
That’s actually a good idea for her to recreate. Although Pamela’s eyeshadow was minimal and her brow was severe and the lips were poppin!

Bahahaha
You killed it ❤
Ok; i mostly just avoid my one silver shadow but this slayed so hard i might just have to give it a second chance
I ❤ cool toned makeup
You should have thinned your eyebrows as well to complement the entire look
Paris Hilton and J.Lo weren't 90s, they were early 2000s. 90s was the more grunge/indie type aesthetic.
90’s high fashion was vampire makeup 😍 I miss that shit so much

I was not ready to see those contacts on Paris girl 💀
Wait why does that look SO GOOD on you??
This was go to eye look all throughout highschool 😂 im 31 lol
Love it
Love this
I hate how I’m being influenced to buy blue eyeshadow rn 😂
Can you do a full review of the palette please?
You are so awesome
I don't like this look, but I do have Grey eyeshadow that i never use. Ill follow along just so it gets some use.
you look gorgeous! What was the second palette’s name ?
Ty 🥰 it’s the naked metal mania palette ✨ you can also find all the product names in my LTK linked in my bio ❤️
@@makeupbymonicaa OMG TYSM for replying big fan! 💓😭

Yessss
Cool tones don’t suit me. But damn girl YOU POPPED OFFFFF
What makeup brushes are you using?
Paris was 2000?? Not 90s
Monica I have a question is tight lining with kohl bad for your eyes?
Is there a cool toned palette you could recommend for us girlies who don't want to spend $50 to try the trend??
The thing is I just came after washing my face after doing the 90s makeup what a coincidence 😅
Is this palette worth it ? Do they blend easily and are the shades pigmented
never been this early on this app😭💜
❤️✨
NEED THE NEXT VIDEO
It’s up 🥰❤️
Paris and JLo are y2k......
I'm so confused between cool time and warm tone colours can someone explain???
What’s up with ur base peeling off?
I think the old makeup should come back
The amount of times she said toned 😭
This early reallyy😭😭🩷
Haha hi 😊🫶🏽✨

If you really wanted to look like jlo then you should have messed up your hair a little to look like a crazy girl in the Bronx
90's Paris hilton?? That picture is from the 2000s. You can't do this to millennials lol😅
90s... Paris Hilton... Um, wrong decade.
You are Not brown sweetie lol
Why is it giving corpse
Looks awful
Dont like her voice
I agree the recreations of the 90s looks should come especially when having this palette! 💯🙌🏾
Why you are forcing yourself to make this kind of accent... it makes people uncomfortable...let your talk as nature.. don't force it.
She is from the Bay Area in California. I believe it is common to talk like this. Hope this helps! ❤
