Got an second hand CFi-1215a (Latin American unit) and it comes with the Foxconn fan. Even if it's rather silent I still hear a lot of coil whine and I don't know if the previos owner might have dropped the unit or so. I want the most silent. So I'm gonna get the NMB V3 from Kasynparts and check if it improves the noise. Thank you for your videos, they're very informative for us people who want better fans and silent performances. I'd like to ask where did you get your ps5 face plates with the opening on the fans? I want to improve the air intake of my unit

@@McKuc thank you. Very detailed video about temperatures with each fan in that video. I don't have a way to test the heat of my ps5 but this information points me in the right direction. Also been seeing places selling dust covers that go on top of the ps5 fans. What's your opinion about it? Worth it? Or better just skip those and focus on getting the plates with vents on the side?
I prefer without them. Thd stock PS5 also has no dust covers. Just check from time if dust built up inside and clean it if needed. Its easy on ps5 to get the fan out, and clean everything with compressed air for example. On ps4 the fan is the last thing to get out. On ps5 its the first 😉
Hey man thanks for your videos . I got the slim recently and it’s noticeably louder than my previous fat ps5 , which was actually almost perfectly silent . So if I change the fan will it improve ? And what is the least noisy and good performance fan for the ps5
currently i do not know, i returned the slim and i did not test all slim fans. Check the comments on my slim videos. Some guys measured the noise of different fans.

Kannst Du sagen wie zuverlässig der Händler tatsächlich ist? Derzeit nutze ich einen Nidec V3 in meiner 1216. Auch dieser ist sehr leise und nicht störend. @@michaelsala1387 ja. Für mich der beste allrounder. Die Slim lüfter sehen jetzt alle so aus wie die NMB v2 und v3 weil das design mit löchern durch den lüfter besser kühlt.
Kurze Frage zu der Info am Ende des Videos: Warum nur Version 3 in der 1200 Serie nutzen? Gibt es bekannte Risiken die Version 3 in der 1000 PS5 Serie zu verbauen? Viele Grüße

Das sieht man auch hier beim NMB v1. Vl nicht gleich aber nach ner Zeit. Wenn man Löcher in den Seitenpanelen hat, ist die Kühlung besser und dann könnte man eventuell auch andere verwenden. Die V3 Lüfter müssten auch gut für die cfi-10 passen. Muss ich noch genau testen um es 100% sagen zu können..

I would go with 2tb m.2.. Just keep it good ventilated and clean it every few months. You can get the fan out and clean it easily... Horizontal position is also a bit better for cooling and efficiency.

Ok thanks man . If I knew I would buy the fat version again in digital . I like the small factor of the slim but the noice of the fan is loud actually

No. Fat fans do not fit inside the slim.
