These Saturn throwbacks are so timely for me. As the mythic Saturn moves into my 6th house in 2025, I find that getting to know it from the most hidden place is just what I need to master my inner world. Thank you for these!
Thank you for this talk! It was great as usual. I have Saturn prominent in my chart and I will also say that Saturn can represent things that become more beautiful with time. Even how beautiful the planet itself is. We don’t necessarily see it in a Venusian way. Some of the coldest places covered in snow are also some of the most beautiful earthly places because of the preservation and rest that is necessary to reach that state.
I love your teachings so much, and find it so beautiful in Hellenistic and Vedic astrology that the yin and yang expressions of the traditional planets teach us so much about the ways opposites are connected, in an almost Taoist way. It feels like a powerful teaching within astrology that's missing from modern astrology. There is a separateness about Saturn, and a powerful ability to critique what isnt useful or true because of the separateness or almost objective quality, which can be expressed in so many ways. I feel like there is also a pain that comes with the separate feeling, that does resonate with winter and death and depth, and also a certain kind of almost acceptance of death because it's a part of it's nature to know the separation. I think this is true for both Aquarius and Capricorn. I have aquarius rising with saturn on my midheaven, and my dad has a capricorn sun conjunct saturn, and i feel a resonance with my dad in this way, in different expressions. I love parts of Modern astrology, and dont mean to critcize it as a whole, but feel like important pieces of the depth of Saturn, Jupiter and Mars is lost with modern rulerships unfortunately.
I'm one of Adam's appreciative Night Light Astrology student, and as someone born with several planets in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, this talk is, by far, one of my favorite ones that Adam has ever given. In fact, I used some of the excellent, mind-expanding information in it for an essay I wrote for a soon-to-be-published anthology on Pluto moving into Aquarius, because too many of us astrologers just don't understand this very important side of Saturn and it is KEY if you really want to work with Saturn as an archetype. Enjoy, everyone!
Love your story, mission and most importantly Content ! Thank you so much! Donated twice to your kickstarter this year! Will do it one more time before the year is over❤Best of luck 🍀 getting all your backers to rally up again
Thank you for this and all of your teachings, Adam. I am amazed by your physical transformation! Amazing! Look forward to studying with you in the future. 🙏🏽
Adam, thank you for replaying this taping. It is a beautiful (and serious) presentation. I appreciate the depth and professionalism. Also, transiting Pluto is conjunct my natal Saturn. It's all good food for thought.
This was really great, and has inspired me to explore the archives for more of your planet profiles. I'm also really looking forward to more Moon in the signs talks 🤞
Capricorn Rising here, NL29 class. Thank you for this rewind of The Mystical Saturn, it is perfect to consider at this Winter Solstice 2024. After class yesterday, on Saturn’s day, I contemplated the Saturn placement on my chart. I have a daytime chart, so my ascendant ruler Saturn is pronounced. It is in deteriment in the watery temple of the Moon at the decaying anoretic degree in the 7th House of death. It is in an out-of-sign conjunction with my Leo moon in the house of Hades. I find that Saturn is extremely mystical in this liminal space and mostly all of my relationships feel deeply karmic. The older I get , the more protective and selective I am on who I enter into a relationship of any kind including colleagues and managers. I find working alone works best for me. I also realized that I love winter, I was pleasantly surprised to see snow fall on the morning of the Solstice as I stood outside in the 15 degree weather in my night gown enjoying the cold air against my bare skin. ☃️❄️
I proudly wear the mantle of the outsider. Saturn in the first house cap rising. Picture a good looking man with long hair died red in pink pants playing the devils music on a harmonica next to a grim reaper with a Santa hat on my deck as a Christmas decoration. The catholic neighborhood I live in doesn't like it. surprise surprise.
Speaking as someone with Saturn conjunct Jupiter in a Capricorn 10th House, I can tell you that this is the most resonant information on Saturn that I've ever received. The usual interpretations of Saturn and my 10th House never felt even remotely accurate. Transiting Saturn will be moving into my 1st House in 2025, and this video has provided a lot of interesting food for thought in that regard as well. Thank you so much for this rewind!
I so appreciate you Adam! I’m in my 2nd Saturn return in my 10th. Wonderful to hear about Ramakrishna. I share his ecstasy and worship of Kali Ma! We are blessed to have you as our guide and teacher.
This was very enlightening, thank you. I'm still a beginner in astrology and I have a Capricorn stellium including Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in my 3rd house (1989 baby). I'm a writer and write mostly horror and fantasy but recently (a few months ago) had a spiritual awakening so there is that as well. I also have my sun (in Aquarius) and my N Node (in Pisces - about to have my 2nd nodal return!) in my 5th house and that all feels so connected! I know I don't get it all yet but this definitely helps! Thank you.
Huh! I have the opposite. I’m an Aquarius rising with Saturn in Libra/9th creating a sign based square, And OMG yes, “heavy presence” might be a mild way of putting things! ❤
@@romeosantos3261 Haha…the short answer is “YES.” Also, my Saturn in Libra is in a two way conjunction which I refer to as a “Pluto/Mars sandwich.” If you think that aspect sounds exhausting, ask me about my Saturn return. 😂 (Also I have Venus conjunct my AC with Mercury in the first creating an aspect based square to all three (Pluto, Saturn, & Mars,) within a 10 degree orb.) My chart (and life) is um….interesting….
Saturn drives us to understand the nature of our pain & limitations, which lead to self-created fear. If we’re fearless, and go through our work, we discover our soul. Without it, there would be no Soul Growth. Highly Recommend Klibansky’s SATURN & MELANCHOLY to channel viewers who aren’t afraid of academic prose. For everyone else, Svoboda’s THE GREATNESS OF SATURN, is a great read. A Vedic Classic. “ Saturn shows us where it is that we must embrace personal inner discipline to be successful beyond our widest dreams.”
My Saturn is in my 12th, too, in Gemini, and honestly this particular Jupiter transit has been filled with such growth in my spiritual practices. It started a chain of events that led to me finding Nightlight Astrology and studying with them.
My natal Saturn is in the 9th, but as an Aquarius rising, Cap’s my 12th house. My south node’s hanging out there too. Yes. The last 4-5 years have been….real…lol
Thanks for some throwback Saturnian love! Aquarius rising with Venus conjunct my AC with Saturn in Libra/9th in a night chart. (Pisces sun in the 2nd.) As an autistic, narcoleptic, lesbian, esoteric scholar and tarot reader…..Yes. My life has been stranger, darker, more surreal and simultaneously exquisite than anything I could describe in a UA-cam comment. My favorite hypotheses of Saturn is that the planet is actually feminine. Essentially acting as the “higher octave” of Venus in the way the Jupiter acts as the “higher octave” of Mars. With Mercury and the luminaries not being assigned a “divine gender,” a feminine Saturn would provide the balance expected of the Hellenistic world. Which leads me to the association between Saturn & Hecate. As the daughter of Cronus, Hecate was originally a titan and part of the pre-Grecian (pre-Zeus) pantheon. Before her more modern association as the “mother of witches,” Hecate was an ancient goddess of the crossroads and threshold. She was revered as a guide between this life and the beyond, holding a torch in each hand. One to light the way in this world and one to light the way in the next. In this respect, she perfectly meets the ancient/Hellenistic significations of Saturn. Being the last visible if the “wandering stars” and the boundary between here and the beyond. After listening to a talk assigning Saturn to Hecate, with the above associations, I began finding it impossible to call Saturn anything but “She.” Of course, all astrological traditions are so ancient, there is no “correct” answer. But for me in my natal chart, Saturn can only be Hecate and no one else. Thank you for reminding us of her glorious, mystical, and hermetic significations!
Since the system I’m working on/with doesn’t use outer-non visible (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) or asteroids, I already deviate feeling you can use them by applying the “sphere” they orbit in. Like, chiron orbits mostly within the Saturn sphere and would have very similar meanings but it may include hints of Jupiter and mars as it has a very unusual orbit; but that does fit the myth. The story in this with Sun-Saturn at least in their myths would be that Sun and Saturn have moved apart where they’re no longer friendly as the Sun has advanced further beyond Saturn but they have contrary approaches that are oppositional. The ages are where they’re most apparent, the Cloud Atlas movie actually does well with that. In this system we are in a Sun age followed by a Saturn age, but this Sun age has a detrimental sun cycle that lasts about 1,000 years. In one timeline there’s an advanced society similar to Blade Runner and even 1984 where they do have access to all world knowledge but the detrimental cycle creates a dystopia where that information is censored if it poses a threat to the state, Hugo Weaving plays a person in charge of this so there’s a reason he plays a “devil” in the last timeline. His goal is to censor information and maintain a consumer culture. For us, we have vast amounts of information at our fingertips which is credited to the sun age, we’re still early into a detrimental cycle though. There’s an interesting part in that timeline where Weaving has a past life daughter executed which sets up his next role in that story. Saturn age, the civilization falls and the most advanced people are outcasts from the remaining society existing as a herding culture. They have very little access to information, are in a highly radiated environment getting radiation sickness and are hunted by rogue cannibal tribes. Historically, the last Saturn age was oppression suffered from the Romans that instigated the rise of Christianity in this system. So you get an expansive change through exchange of knowledge with Sun, a dark oppressive change through suffering with Saturn. 1st house Saturn, nothing short of a party everyday ❤️.
Love this, I've watched it before but it makes me appreciate my very saturnian chart. Cap sun, Aquarius moon and Libra rising, I resonate fully. I would be interested to know what significance saturn retrograde in a night chart opposing my chart ruler venus could mean. I realise there's a lot more to it, but a retro saturn in a night chart plus in the sign of Leo seems a bit tricky to me?
Merci.

Capricorn rising with Saturn in the first. I am the embodiment of the social outcast here in my neighborhood at the moment.
Thank you for this Adam!! You’re so good.😊
Thank you. Great stuff
This is the most helpful astrological video I've ever seen.
Enjoying this talk the 2nd time around🪐

@ but with Saturn in Libra being exalted it going to be a stronger influence which must be exhausting?

Saturn retro birthchart and its going in my sun sign - need this 👂👂
Great timely talk. Loved the comparisons with Neptune & yep, amazing the new mystical planet was discovered when they joined at 25 degree Aqua.
I have transiting Saturn in my first house. This was so interesting and educational. Thank you Adam for all you do ❤❤
