Absolutely gorgeous! Wow, is this beautiful! And then you said "other colors of cardstock", and my imagination took off - dark blue, and purple, and forest green with silver.....oh, marvelous work. Thanks so much!
Simply made with a glamorous look. I used to make "slim line " cards years ago. Basically when I didn't have access to other card envelopes. I do see many manufacturers are making stamps and dies with slim line in mind.
Absolutely stunning card! It does looks store bought. I have to say, this is my all-time favorite. But each time I say that, you come up with something even better. You creativity is your gift from God. Thank you for sharing this. And yes, I like slim line cards because they are non-traditional.
Exquisite card! It really is a show-stopper. Yes, I love slimline cards. Years ago, before UA-cam, I made cards to fit the envelopes I had, and tall, skinny cards were one of my favorites! So glad they are now so popular and all the goodies to makes them are available.
I too have made long skinny cards for ages, back in 1989 I made them because I had business envelopes, and not much else. Card stock business envelopes some glue and shiny gold and silver tissue paper. I have made them off and on since then. They are amazing all the things you can do with them.
I am indeed on that slimline train! I have made slimline cards before they were called slimline. I truly enjoy this type of card. All my family Christmas cards are slimline this year! Thanks for a wonderful tutorial! God bless!!!
Yes, my Christmas card this year was a slim line card. Made 130 cards 10 difference designs for my clients, friend and relatives. Love the slim line card and happy that there are many new items to choose from. Happy Holidays!
I’m enjoying the inclusion of slimline to the card size regiment. I’ve also been doing them for quite sometime but now I like the options and the variety of different dies available for this size. I’ve added a few key background and nested layer sets to my everyday die collection. Thank you for sharing the fantastic idea of masking and shading, beautiful and so effective to a polished result! ❤️
Gorgeous classic Christmas card that never goes outdated. I purchased some slimline dies but have only made a handful. After seeing your card I think I’ll do the rest of my Christmas cards using them as it won’t take me forever to do them. So grateful for your designs that we can build on!
Breath taking card. You are very Talented.it was beautiful when you finished embossing and then you took it to another level with more inking. Love this card. Thank You!
Yes I am loving the slimline cards. This is so pretty - will have to try this technique for sure. Beautiful colour combo you used. Love having a card that will look so elegant but not take a long time to do. Thanks for this great card.
Gorgeous card. Saw a version in blue yesterday and thought it would be a complicated process. You make it look so easy, thank you for all the wonderful tutorials.
Love slim lines...it’s nice to have a variety of sizes to play with. I have this stamp set also and can’t wait to try this. I agree it is elegant looking
Wow Kristina! I agree! I think this is my favorite card so far too! I love love love this whole series! Thank you so much for gifting it every year to us. I really appreciate it! I have not made a slim line card yet but this is definitely one I would love to try!
It is now 2021 and I have this stamp and some beautiful red paper and am getting ready to make a bunch of these to send out to family this Christmas. This is still the prettiest card I've ever seen.
Yes, I’m waltzing the slimline this year! Have always liked that size and find it to be the easiest to mass produce with beautiful results! Thanks for sharing this technique...wish I had seen it sooner. Did a batch of this same design but would have liked to add the extra accent that you did! Think I’ll start some for next year now using it. Merry Christmas Kristina and thanks so much for this series every year. I always look forward to it for my inspiration! 💕🎄❄️⛄️
Yes for sure I am on the slimline card bandwagon. I am making slimline shadow box cards for my family this year. That reminds me I need to go finish them up, hehehe. Thanks for the inspiration Kristina, such a beautiful card.
This is one of my favourite cards. I stay in Scotland and so far I've only found one supplier in the UK that offers American products. I managed to save up and buy the last one of this stamp set the retailer had. I recreated this card today and it is even more beautiful in real life than you make it look in the video. Thank you for your ideas and inspiration! ☺️ Such a beautiful striking card
I was a bit resistant at first to do slim lines because I didn't want to start buying more products that go along with the larger size. There are so many additional options that I gave in and started making them. I found I really didn't need to purchase a lot of additional items and it is fun to have the variety. Love the elegance of the card!
Oh I love the slim line cards, I think there is an elegance to this long slim size that you cant find in a smaller card. This design is beautiful Kristine!
Kristina, this is just what I needed. I made a couple using your technique--I wish I would have taken a picture of my cards. You're right! It's easy but so elegant and polished looking. I used what I had and came up with great looking cards. Thank you so much!
I've never gone for long slim cards. Most of the time, I will do the traditional open from the side slight rectangle. This card is absolutely beautiful long or short.
I am making envelopes for my slimline cards while I watch your video. I found a stamp in late summer that was designed for this size. I learned that all slimline dies are not equal, but made it work for now.
I LOVE Slimline Cards and enjoy making them. It’s awesome that they usually mail with just one postage stamp as long as they weigh less than an oz. Keep these slimline cards coming Kristina! BTW-this card is BEAUTIFUL and since I already have this stamp I can’t wait to try it out. TFS
I have made a few slimline cards, but I wouldn't say I'm hopping on that bandwagon. One I made for my SIL's birthday this past September I called kind of a super-size slimline, because it was a bit over 10" long. I needed all that length for the kind-of-large images I used, & the fact that it was a double-slider-surprise card. And yes, I did have to make my own envelope with most of a sheet of 12x12" cardstock! I love how this card came out, Kristina! That Aged Mahogany is the perfect color over that Cranberry cardstock. And masking the flowers was brilliant! I hope y'all are doing well and staying sane. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I have been watching your Christmas card series since the beginning. This card has to be in the top five of all the cards you have ever created for this series.
Wow! I understand how hard it would be if I were making cards as beautiful as yours to pick a fav. This is absolutely stunning and like extremely professional better than store bought of course. Really stunning ! And yes, the slimline addiction took over ...my last four orders of stuff has been for slimline cards
I do like the look of slim line cards so will certainly do some. Have to say that I think this is one of the most stunning cards I have seen you make....ever! Well done you!
Stunning 😍! Out of all the the card sizes I have made over the years my favorite have been the slimline. I won’t hop on the bandwagon because I am not one to follow trends. I like thinking for myself. That being said thanks for another great card design your work is always so well done.
Beautiful card. If I had to pick a favorite this year, I don’t think I could. They are all so gorgeous and different from each other. I’ve tried a couple of slimline cards. I like them for something different. I’ll make more after Christmas. Decorating tomorrow, then I’ll star making cookies. I always look forward to your next card.
I love slimline cards - and, like you, I have been making them periodically for years - way before they had a name. Lol. I love them. I make both, but find the slimlines really lend themselves to some projects that a standard A2 just can't handle. Thanks for sharing this card. I have a similar stamp and was thinking of something similar, but not with the masking. Brilliant! The masking makes the inkblended lines so crisp and defined!
Yes. I,m doing the slim line cards. This is the first year that I am making all of my Christmas cards. It is thanks to you and your Simply Watercolor Class. I love Christmas I think as much as you.
Love your series. I've been making slim lines cards for ages. I started making them so I could send bookmarks along with cards for birthdays or thinking of you cards. I laminate the bookmarks so I know they will hold up in the mail and will last a while.
I absolutely love this card. So dramatic with the aged mahogany on red card stock. I, like you, have been making tall skinny cards for years. I've been a cardmaker for over 25 years. Funny how some trends aren't really new.
I can see why this is your favorite. It is mine, too. I love the ink blending, the poinsettia design and the gold embossing powder. This card is gorgeous.
Yes I love slimline cards for scenes.I started years ago too, and now they have a name!! Haha! This card was so beautiful that you made. Now there are mini slim line cards too! I will stick with the regulars :)
Hi, No I haven't gotten into making slimline cards yet. A lot of my crafting friends are making them this year. Now that I have made and mailed out all of my holiday cards I am going to play with some designs and make some slimline cards. And, I loved the card you made today!
Yes, I’m definitely into the slimline trend. It gives you so many more options for card making. Love this card. It’s very elegant and looks like the center is glowing. Beautiful!
Gorgeous card. Love making slimline cards. I'm still hoarding my Basic Gray cardstock. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and hope you have a safe and healthy New Year.
I don't think I have ever made a slim line card. :) This card is stunning. I am going to have to try this technique. I don't normally comment on how people look but I just wanted to say that you are glowing in this video, you look amazing and happy and it makes me smile to see.
This is absolutely gorgeous Kristina. I have been making ‘slime line’ cards for years too. Mostly for my Christmas cards but occasionally for birthdays. I always used business sized envelopes but would heat emboss the front corner of the envelope to dress it up to match the card inside so it didn’t look like a bill to the recipient. 😂 Stay well!
LOVE slimline cards - so much more room to play with and no extra for postage, at least here in Australia anyway. LOVE your oh-so-beautiful and elegant card. The extra shading makes a huge difference, so thank you for the tip and the inspiration, now all I have to do is remember it LOL LOL. If I don't message you again Kristina, thank you for all the fabulous inspiration and techniques you have shared with us through 2020. Your cards are always amazing and so very beautiful. Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas and New Year and hope you all stay safe and well, as I know things are very nasty over there still. God bless. Bev from Sydney Australia.
Yes, like you, I've done them probably in the 90's but with the die cuts it's making it easier but I still have my dimensions from the Old Days. LOL I still have the original slim line cards I did. Paper Cuts in WI had the card stock precut and I have used those cards as templates. Merry Christmas!
So, so pretty! I love the simple and elegant look. That little bit of shading adds a lovely touch. I love the slim line look, but I don't want to get different envelopes... so I've been trimming my A2 cards down to 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 to get a mini slim card. :)
I’m not a fan of the proportions of regular slimline cards, but I like the mini ones. I like to make my own envelopes so I don’t feel the need to stick to a particular card size. In general I like larger cards for Christmas. I so appreciate the drama of this card. I also like that it could be translated to other card designs. The basic elements are that the ink and cardstock are monochromatic and the embossing powder should be in high contrast with the monochromatic elements. I also like the fact that I don’t have to buy a blessed thing since I am obsessed with poinsettias and already have quite a few stamps. Red is my favorite color so I have tons of red cardstock. And quite a few shades of gold embossing powder. I love it when I see a card design that I love on UA-cam and I can just turn around and make it. Thanks for doing this series year in and year out. It’s wonderful that some traditions remain untouched by the pandemic.
Loved the shading for today's card and absolutely love the slimline cards. I save on having to buy envelopes but have the Trinity slimline dies for making envelopes. Thanks for that video.
I try to avoid the trendy stuff that requires me to spend more. I’ve always enjoyed your unusual card sizes. Even this technique would work great on a regular size card.
Beautiful card. I haven't tried a slim line card, but I have plans for Valentine's day. What I think I would like to see, is cards that fit a #9 envelope.
I’m just dipping toe into the slimline trend. I really like the look of that size card. And you don’t really need specialized stamps or dies. Thanks for the inspiration Kristina!

I am blown away by this card!!! It is too beautiful for words!!!
Rewatching this ... Gorgeous!!!! Still and always.
Oh heck yea. I'm loving the slimline cards. So much more real-estate to play with! Thanks for doing this! Gorgeous card I'll surely have to try!
I love the richness of the card. I think it could be mass produced easily. Thanks for sharing.
Love slimline cards. And ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this design!! Gorgeous! Will have to try it with stamps I already have. Thank you!!!!
Breath taking card. You are very Talented.it was beautiful when you finished embossing and then you took it to another level with more inking. Love this card. Thank You!

I love this technique - it looks so dramatic! No slimlines for me.

Love the slimline cards! I'm working on one right now for a friend's birthday. Your card is gorgeous. Love the bright gold and deep shadows.
Yes, I have started the slimlines cards because it opens up new possibilities! I'm having fun!
All my Christmas cards this year are slimline! Love this look! Such depth in the card!

Just lovely! I have made quite a few slim line cards this year....fun! Thanks!
Yes I have done a few slimline cards. I like trying new things. Love this technique for sure. And I have seen pink and blue poinsettias this year.
I have not jumped on the slimline card train yet, but I think I may be purchasing a ticket soon. Love how simple but elegant your card is.
So beautiful! Still trying to get normal card making done! Not ready for slim yet.... thank you for what you do it’s a good outlet💕
Yes. I,m doing the slim line cards. This is the first year that I am making all of my Christmas cards. It is thanks to you and your Simply Watercolor Class. I love Christmas I think as much as you.
Well thanks to you I just discovered the slimline cards! This is gorgeous! Thank you!

I Absolutely Love Slimline Cards! So Beautiful! ❤😘
Gorgeous. Definitely into slim lines. More creative space available.
Yes I love slimline cards for scenes.I started years ago too, and now they have a name!! Haha! This card was so beautiful that you made. Now there are mini slim line cards too! I will stick with the regulars :)
Yes, I loved the look of this card so much that I just ordered the stamp set and the Brutus Monroe embossing powder (SSS). Thank you for your video.
I’ve always made slimline cards also, but, definitely bought into all the different die sets for them 🤣🤣
I REALLY like this one. Very elegant and beautiful.
Hi, No I haven't gotten into making slimline cards yet. A lot of my crafting friends are making them this year. Now that I have made and mailed out all of my holiday cards I am going to play with some designs and make some slimline cards. And, I loved the card you made today!

Beautiful poinsettia slimline card.....well done Kristina......TFS
I have made a few of the slimline cards
Gorgeous card. Love making slimline cards. I'm still hoarding my Basic Gray cardstock. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and hope you have a safe and healthy New Year.
This card is so different, love the aged mahagony distress ink shading. Slim line cards are fun, like having lots of variety in crafting
I'm totally into slim line cards since I'm always looking for something new, different, and fun! Love your card!
Stunning in its beauty and simplicity!
I don't think I have ever made a slim line card. :)
This card is stunning. I am going to have to try this technique.
I don't normally comment on how people look but I just wanted to say that you are glowing in this video, you look amazing and happy and it makes me smile to see.
This is absolutely gorgeous Kristina.

Yes, I love slimline now!! They are different!! What a gorgeous and "easy" card, K!!! Thank you and love it!!!
Yes, like you, I've done them probably in the 90's but with the die cuts it's making it easier but I still have my dimensions from the Old Days. LOL I still have the original slim line cards I did. Paper Cuts in WI had the card stock precut and I have used those cards as templates. Merry Christmas!

No, I haven't made any slimline cards yet but possibly. Love this stamp set and the colors, very pretty.
The most gorgeous card I've seen in a long time. Simple and classy with drama! I love slim lined cards.
That's a beautiful card Kristina! TFS! Yes, I too am riding the slimline train!! Love your creativity and I really enjoy and watch all your videos!🎄
I try to avoid the trendy stuff that requires me to spend more. I’ve always enjoyed your unusual card sizes. Even this technique would work great on a regular size card.
I've been making these cards for years!! I called them skinny cards. Your card is beautiful. TY for sharing how easy this was to
Beautiful card. I haven't tried a slim line card, but I have plans for Valentine's day. What I think I would like to see, is cards that fit a #9 envelope.
I've been making slimline cards for many years, but now I'm making them more often. This HCS card is so gorgeous!
I’m just dipping toe into the slimline trend. I really like the look of that size card. And you don’t really need specialized stamps or dies. Thanks for the inspiration Kristina!
Love, love, love this card. Yes, I will be making my Christmas cards slim line. Thank you for sharing.
Ooo, i love this technique!! Cant wait to try! This is one for my library. Ive made these way back before they were named "slimline" but really dont care to make this size.

I love the slimeline cards and all my Christmas cards are slimline. Your card is so beautiful.
Gorgeous! I see why it's your favorite. I made 5 Slimline Christmas cards, but I still favor the A2 -- half a sheet of cardstock, no measuring!
The blending of ink on your card, made it look so rich. I loved it, it really catches my eye. 😊
I love slim line cards and have been buying dies for them. More room to play with.
I love this card! I haven’t jumped back on the slim line card band wagon yet.
Such a beautiful striking card. I can see why it's your favorite. I just might be mine too. I love it.
Haven't done slimline cards but they look really lovely. I will need to try them, absolutely beautiful 😀
Absolutely gorgeous...love love love it, thanks for sharing
Talk about a WOW effect! 😍 I haven’t tried any slim lines yet, but they do look fun so I’m sure I will. Thanks so much for this video series. I’m certain it’s a lot of work but I’ve learned a lot!
