He was swatted. Someone contacted the police and gave them fake info like "he's threatening to kill his entire family" or something like that. Caleb was increadibly lucky there because swatting usually involves the swat team barging into his house and pointing their rifles at him. These police officer actually gave them the opportunity to explain himself and even got to help them finding the swatter.
