I've been learning on Duolingo, and I learned that niño and niña are boy and girl. Obviously there can be more than one word for things but I'm wondering if this is regional?
For me, the regional aspect has been my greatest hurdle in mastering this language. I'm personally more interested in learning the Mexican dialect if anyone can direct me to learning resources that are specific to that region.
