Because if the universe is destroyed, time too, and Zeno Sama, let's not even talk about it.
Unfortunately Saitama would lose against Regulus since Saitama cannot destroy universes, Saitama could not defeat Regulus because Regulus is an immovable object.

For those who haven't read the novel, in chapter 8 of the anime that will be released in two weeks, this ED will make a lot of sense, minute 1:11 will be explained in that chapter and it will be one of the most epic moments of this damn anime. minute 1:11 apart from the meaning that most people give it, it means that everyone trusts Subaru and I'm not just referring to his friends, literally the entire damn city of Priestella put their faith in him. After all, Subaru is the one who decides to be the face of the counterattack and if they lose the city, all the responsibility will fall on his hands, the deaths, the pain and the despair will be something he will have to bear on his own. Subaru becomes the light of Priestella, this is what will happen in chapter 8
