It's a cold November day in New England and this looks perfect and easy. Good tip about the salt!

I'm watching all of these split pea soup recipe videos today. I haven't run into any that add milk or cream to the recipe. My gramma always added some evaporated milk which makes the soup much richer. I'm sure your soup is excellent but I thought I would throw this out there to you to try. Let me know if you ever do it! Thankyou for your video.

Looks good..and easy.. it’s a cold rainy day here in the hi desert Calif.
Got left over ham bone and a couple slices from thanksgiving so gonna give this a try..
Don’t have a smoked ham hock or shank so gonna use a piece of smoked turkey instead..😻👀👀🤓🤓

Pease soup hot, pease soup cold, pease soup in the pot four-days old. Some like it hot, some like it cold, some like it in the pot four-day's old.
An old saying I learned here in Newfoundland, Canada, where pea soup and dough balls (pronounced doughboys) are cooked every Saturday.
    Greetings from Newfoundland.

How do you deal with the ham hocks. Where's the meat?

Dhickec stock would give it a better tasting than just the plain water etc

Love the music. Immediately recognize it from Robert Ullrey's Couch-2-5k blog (week 1, check it out). Great recipe!

Without the description of the ingredients this really doesn't mean much.
