Once from my balcony I saw a guy with saggy beard. .torn soiled jeans and shirt..pacing up and down the deserted road in the hot afternoon at around 2.30..my dog Daisylu was barking hence had gone to the balcony. I pacified her and went back to cleaning my kitchen. but Daisylu wouldn't stop .so I again went again...to quieten her..again saw the same guy ..looking dejected head bowed. So I made a quick decision..went down with mask on to our building gate...called to the guy....You ok...you hungry. He said in good English...Yes Mam..I am fine. I asked again did you eat anything...he said yes in the morning ..two bananas. My heart fell. I asked him shall I get you something...Ok mam..if you have some chappatis. I said I have a loaf of bread and yam curry..is it ok. He looked gratefully and said Sure Mam. I quickly went up packed him the food with two bananas and handed it to him..His Thank you was really from the heart. But I felt really nice for doing my bit for a complete stranger during this difficult times.
