Lindsey..we are building a new house and hoping to make the 1st floor handicap accessible....especially for when our granddaughter comes to visit...do you have any must have ideas.

bebe howell It’s so different for each person and their particular needs, but here are some suggestions. Hopefully they help.
Not having a bunch of rugs on the floor (they make it hard to maneuver). Door widths are biggie. Not having a bunch of things in smaller spaces (like in bathrooms). A ramp that isn’t too steep (with hand rails if needed). Grab rails in bathrooms (at least one in the tub or shower and maybe one at the toilet).
