@Reulor Yes it originally was white, but Smith kept changing it : he removed the paint to a natural wood color, then painted it black, then painted some psychedelic fish-like shapes over the black. No idea what it looks like now, but I don't think he ever uses Jazzmasters anymore.
@Commiteee For songs with a driving rhythm (Play for Today, a Forest) it's usually all down strums. Up/down strumming for slower stuff like 3 imaginary boys. But really, try both and see what's working. :)
Great guitar obviously (and you say that you also own a Fender VI) but you do get a very nice sound out of it. As to the playing it is not 100% accurate (especially on the Amin in the verse) but whether intentional or not, it works anyway.
very well done, am a hard-core fan for decades and loved it!
One of the best Cure song , You play it perfect !
That is soooo great! The sound is really spot on!
How can anyone give this less that a perfect 5-star? Great job! I want to be your singer!
Great, saw them live here in newzealand 1980

@Commiteee All down.
The other guitar track is way over-voluming your peformance here. That's not what we want to witness. Strip it down.
