Wow, this is absolutely spectacular, I used to listen to this song on a CD in High school all the time and this is even better. This has aged like fine wine!

Same. That record got me through some serious rough times in the late nineties. I've been revisiting it lately with the benefit of 25 years of life experience and it's hitting on an even deeper level than I knew was there.

rusted root played at a small venue in memory of my ex fiance who committed suicide 12/ 16 , for them to do that , was incredible. very moving to say the least ,.i know my ex was in his glory knowing his favorite band played in his memory. i met Micheal Glabicki , a few years ago , and i even got to shoot a game of pool with him ,. the whole band, are so down to earth , i can't wait until they come back to NEPA RIP Fran , miss and love you ❤💔

Jenn E so sorry for you loss. Rusted root has always been a favorite band of mine and this song and Back to The Earth have always had a special place in my heart. I get tears listening to this song....I can’t imagine what this song does to you. I don’t know why I just felt compelled to comment on what you wrote. I hope that this song brings you joy and makes you think of all the good times with your ex fiancé. This world is a crazy place and it’s mainly the little things in life that have the most meaning. Take care.

That’s awesome that they did for yin’s guys. It makes me like them even more.
I’m sorry that you have to go through this, as I’m sure it still hurts.

Such an awesome performance! I like how they can play big enough to fill a stadium or cozy enough for something like this, and it works really well either way.

4 simple and pure chords is all you need to have. This song hits my soul and lets the recent tragedies have space to leave. It's an amazing song and the vocal arrangement is unique and perfect.

Just a note (if interested) after reading through the comments. They've been around approximately 25 years, just like the considerably more successful & famous, Dave Matthews Band. This rendition/version posted here from Paste, is one of the best I've seen & heard to date. One of my favorites from them. Just like "Send Me On My Way," posted on here by Paste too. I left a comment there, remarking on how Michael Glabicki (lead vocalist-musician) seems to me to be getting more amazing as he ages. Good to hear he is pursuing a solo career now too.

Gorgeous! This song has always haunted me. It's a perfect accompaniment to grief. "Maybe this is more pure than simple." Profound.

Many shows in The Burgh. Many good bands from back then. The Clarks, DOSE (RIP Jason Trunzo), Buzz Poets, Vibro Kings, and Deezy.

I was fortunate enough to be around when it only cost five bucks to see them play in a warehouse on Pittsburgh’s South Side Back in the 1990’s.
It was a beautiful scene with beautiful people.

They used to play free shows at IUP in Indiana, PA in the student union constantly. I’ve seen them live 7 times, and only had to pay for one show at the State Theater in VA a few years ago.
I loved going to their shows and watching all the freaky drugged out chicks dancing. Good times.
