Another great video. So glad I found your channel. Going to have a go myself soon. I've always seen catching a fish on a home tied fly as the ultimate fishing......this may be the next best thing. Can I ask, the metal tin storing floats that you have on the thumbnail of all your videos, where did you get that from?
Thank you for your kind words. Go on and have a go! That is what these films are for! The box is actually plastic, not metal, and is a Stewarts float box. They were popular in the 80's and 90s, I guess. Mine is from my childhood in the 80s. You can find them on Ebay but they can be quite pricey for some reason. Shop around to find a good one! 👍 Good luck. If I can help in any way with making a float, please drop me a message. 👍🎣👍
@@BlackBottomFloats Thank you. I'll have a look online. I was only at my Dad's the other day looking at his old floats in a lovely old wooden float box with removable layers. They just don't make things as nice as they used to - plastic wagglers in Eva tubes 👎. Definitely going to have a go following your videos and make some up for Christmas gifts for friends and family. 👌 Any plans for some Avon style float videos soon?
@northshoreproductions3787 I totally agree about avoiding plastic (as much as possible!) I have a few plans up my sleeve but it'll take time as I work full time and can only give so much time to youtube and float making and fishing and family... I need more hours in the day! Watch this space... lots more to come. ❤️🎣❤️
@kevinfielding7029 thank you and good luck! The float box is a Stewarts float box. Mine are from my very early days of fishing in the 80's. You can pick them up in ebay but they can be a bit pricey... ❤️🎣❤️

@Black Bottom Floats
Hi there a good video do you make pole floats .
Thank you.
No, I don't make pole floats as I don't fish in that way. (I've tried but failed!) Rod and reel all the way for me! ❤️🎣❤️
