Mmen Culture and dance. This is a famous dance from Ise. One of the villages of the Mmen clan. Ise is located on the slopes of Mount Ndɛghom - a historic place in the history of Mmen. Ise lies between lake Nyɔs, Ndɛe Tɛ and Ndɛghom.
This dance is a clear picture of the creativity of the Mmen man. It is term alɨm. Alɨm in the Mmen language means darkness. The name is symbolic given the fact that the songs are an exposé of what happens in darkness or what is done in hiding.
