This song is born to be coverized by a thrash metal band :) In 70 era there are stuuf thta can be considered PRE-THRASH METAL (this song for example is one of those)
Any comment to any Metallica cover. "Oh, the original is better" Covers are covers because they aren't the real songs. Metallica covers are any song they want to cover with that Metallica twist. If the two songs sounded completely identical, I think we'd have a problem
You know what ? I think Metallica is one on the few bands that make covers sound better than the original. I mean, so what or Die my darling's original versions sound risible to me since they sound like the musicians can't stay in time. That's the main reason I don't like punk music. Metallica's versions sound way more professional. But this is not true for Stone Cold Crazy since the original is a kick-ass song
The greatest cover band in the history of Rock N Roll! Stone Cold Crazy, When A Blind Man Cries, Whiskey In A Jar, Turn The Page, and Tuesdays Gone to name a few!!!
James Hetfield was born to sing this song… (I still like the original better, but I can attribute that to being a Queen fan longer than a Metallica one)
Sleeping very soundly on a Saturday morning I was dreaming I was Al Capone There's rumor going 'round, gotta clear outta town I'm Smelling like a dry fish bone Here comes the law, gonna break down the door, Gonna carry me away once more Never, never, never want it any more Gotta get away from this stone cold floor Crazy Stone cold crazy, you know Rainy afternoon, I got a blow a typhoon, Playing on my slide trombone Anymore, anymore, cannot take it anymore Gotta get away from this stone cold floor Crazy Stone cold crazy, you know Walking down the street, Shooting people that I meet, Fully loaded tommy gun, Here comes the deputy, try fuckin' gettin' me Gotta fuckin' get up and run They got the sirens loose I run right outta juice They're gonna put me in a cell, if I can't go to heaven Will they let me go to hell? Crazy Stone cold crazy, you know
well the biggest at the time(and even now) heavy metal band(Metallica) covering the biggest rock band(Queen) after the death of Freddie Merucry and on top of that the cover is more badass than the original and you wonder?
That's because Cash's Hurt cover is a completely different song than the original, despite having the same lyrics and music. And he's johnny effin cash. Trent Reznor could never be as massive.
I think this is the what the production sound of the Black Album would be if James and Lars produced it themselves, and didnt use Bob Rock. I wish they did.
I don't quite understand why James' voice is quite 'thin' here. If I compare it to the Black Album singing or '89-'90 live shows... Awesome cover though! Best suited live ;)
Ppl in the comments be like: "This is a cover!" Oh! Don't you say! Maybe the fact of this is a song from the GARAGE INC, an entire album of covers?? :v
this is one of the best cover of all time,in my opinion
i like the original, but i think this song fits perfectly with James's voice
I think that also ^^
Dude, the original sounds great with James on the vocals too. Check Freddy's tribute concert from 1992 to see it....
il Cazzo sei italiano?
wow, i just found out that queen did this in '74 what an idiot i am as i am also old, sheesh.
Fuck off, Freddie is the goat
It isn't suposed to be better than the original. It is suposed to be interesting and pleasant for Queen and Metallica fans.
The song suits Freddie's voice better, but I definitely like the instrumental here. Overall a solid cover.
+Evelina999 I think so too, i like the more heavy instrumental part here ^^
No no I disagree. James voice the roughness and tone sits with the song better
@@RavenWillliams Freddies voice is better than Hetfield on this song.. and hammet did a good job 01:31
One of the best covers ever
Epic cover of an epic song! Metallica is the best!
This song is born to be coverized by a thrash metal band :)
In 70 era there are stuuf thta can be considered PRE-THRASH METAL (this song for example is one of those)
I agree
Craym Cool see people that agreed with me :)
I tough the same thing when i've discovered queen's version.
I think that this song is more of a power(speed) metal.
@@AnkurMahto363 my uncle says and thinks the same

agreed and btw this is worth the original

MARIETTA C si la escucho más de una vez xde Metallica venia haciendo este cover desde el 87-88 hasta hoy y dios freddie le gusto :)
Best way to finish all nursing progress notes in a hot flash 😉
This is an awesome cover!
Freddie is genius ❤
Sasha Mikusincova He sure is!
The first thrash band covering one of the best pioneer thrash songs
i dig both versions tbh :D
Thats great :D
Definitely!
And now we can only imagine how this cover could sound if Hetfield still have voice from "Kill'em All" :)
+Piotrek Pruszczyk Well...bad. Is that what you mean?
Have a look at the Freddie Mercury Memorial concert. Papa Het performed this song with the rest of Queen
Very good. I like it very much:))
I think this version is way better!! James's voice so perfect! so raw
You're having a laugh if you think James has a better voice than Freddie Mercury
@@Bpg5012trick ikr
Stfu, Freddie is the best not James. James is good but nowhere near Fred. Fuck your shitty opinion
@@3sjstill438 Freddie your ass Queentard
It's not better its different, and still fucking good
Old school metallica, good stuff
I would be great if they made another cover album. But that is just my opinion :)

I love the original by Queen but this version is just badass - the days when Metallica were at the peak of their game.
this the first song they released after justice, even before black album. it's like black album sound but justice speed.
Nice cover.
All of you calm down , the two cover are Crazy but different. It’s a tribute to Queen))
I propose this song as the official theme of extreme ironing.
How in the hell did this beat Painkiller by Judas Priest at the Grammies!? Seriously were the judges high?
Did a cover beat Painkiller? Did not know that. I guess they liked it better ^^
how did Jethro tull a flute player get the best metal album Grammy in the 90's over metallica is a better question
well the biggest at the time(and even now) heavy metal band(Metallica) covering the biggest rock band(Queen) after the death of Freddie Merucry and on top of that the cover is more badass than the original and you wonder?
This is a recording from the famous San Diego concert in 92
really? It isint from the studio? :s I thought soo :s
As much as I like the original, I think this one is better.
I always say that nothing beats the original, buuuuut i get it, i like Hurt by Johnny Cash better than NIN.

And why is it sad?
VB FaBoCaPo because it’s a fucking queen song

It's actually 125bpm
It must be stone cold soundtrack in wwe attitude era hahaha
Rrrrrrraaaaaaa
One of few good Queen covers, but I must say that Metallica did Ebba Gröns "Staten och Kapitlet" better than did Queens Stone Cold Crazy.😉
This song is original for queen
DAMR zorner it’s a COVER bruh
i think the cover is good, but sometimes it's hard to understand what james says
hmmm, i dont think its just because they do it their way, and because of James's voice :P
