I'm excited about the A5 Vertical layout - especially the lines! - and have ordered one in colorful Harmony and matching washi tape. From what I can see I think I'm really going to love them!
I don't have this planner but coming from HP where you can't really find any color...I am in love with this. I have never looked into EC planners. I will probably just match stickers with the colors they used if i decorate. I'm planning to get 1 of these maybe
I love the EC planners, and the basic functional stickers they give you with each planner! The planners have just enough color for you to be able to make it your own or add stickers as you wish! I also love that EC creates a monthly sticker book to correlate with each months colors! It’s awesome! This colorful one at the beginning is very pretty, but the vertical is more of a vertical/dashboard cross! 😁 It's alright, but I like a normal vertical planner ❤️👍
As for the A5 Compact Vertical and Horizontal planners, I would use them for writing Bible verses or for daily journaling or a mixture of both! However, I write fairly big, so I may need the 7x9-size. 😊😊
I LOVE this idea! I wrote scriptures in my softbound a5 last year! And loved it! But I can totally understand needing a bigger size!! Some verses are long anyway☺️
I wish the compact vertical had Monday-Thursday across the top then the Friday-Sunday across the bottom. My eyes just automatically go that way 😂 but nothing a sticker can’t cover up. I got the color blends agenda in horizontal and in bloom coiled compact vertical and Lovely review.

Unpopular opinion, but I like the little calendar at the top of each page on the Daily Duo, especially since the month is not included in the header (just the date and day of the week). If you don’t like it, cover it with a sticker! It’s a lot easier to do that than to add a calendar to each page! Now, I will agree with most everyone that I don’t like it at the bottom of the white box in the new Compact Vertical. But there was no other place to put it in the layout, so I get it. Again, just cover it with a sticker if you don’t like it. I’m glad they added a blank notes page after Sunday. However, I wish they had kept Saturday and Sunday on facing pages so that the weekends could be kept together. That would put the Notes Page on the left side and Monday on the right side every month. Maybe they didn’t want to do that?? I will definitely add that to the EC Survey. Overall, I like all the designs. I’m a colorful girl, so I will most likely be getting a Colorful Harmony. But the simplicity of the ColorBlends is growing on me. Guess I’ll have to buy more than one planner haha!

I like the color blends binder, love both A5 rulers, don’t like the compact vertical layout and hate the calendar at the bottom of each page and top of each daily. Love the colorful vellums instead of plain ones! Love all the stickers and sticky notes! Love that the stickies will fit in binders now!
I also wish the neutral was truly neutral. I’m contemplating getting harmony neutral but using months from last years just my type as long as I can.. but leaning towards colorblend agenda cover
I really like the colorful harmony in A5 from what I am seeing. Just my opinion I wish they would go back to the dark strip at the top of the monthly page like they use to versus breaking it up in pieces. I feel like it just looked more cohesive that way.
As horizontal planner this may be ok with me as my life is not full for regular vertical but this be option for me the compact vertical in agenda binder
I love the way you walked through the whole planner and giving measurements. I am surprisingly surprised that I am in love with it. I am a to-do and checklist weekly planner. I am in love with it!
Love your video! I love that you compared the daily “to do” section how it is the same size of the compact vertical boxes. That was truly helpful to me and now I know 100% I will be getting the A5 coiled compact vertical. My only problem is I was torn between the Harmony Neutral or In Bloom and now I am loving the colorblends. OH my decisions, decisions.

Thank you for such a thorough video! I am excited for the A5 compact vertical for my home To-Dos/appts/birthdays, etc. as I am a list maker and this will be perfect. I agree the name compact vertical made me think it would be a scaled-down version of the regular 7x9 vertical (like the picture you showed). This is really a quadrant layout.

I’m obsessed with the new layout! I was using the DD but I don’t need that much space anymore. This is perfect for me. I was planning on horizontal but wasn’t excited about it. Now I’m excited! Going back to coil though. Agenda takes up too much space on my desk.

I’m very happy they added the blank page to the daily duo at the end of each week. The only thing I would have done differently is to put it before Monday at the start of each week so that Sat and Sun would end up across from each other! I like some parts of each of the 3 designs, but also dislike parts of each design as used in the planners! Going to be hard to decide, I wanted to go traditional vertical this year but like A5 size, because i still have daily pages to the end of 2022 from the last launch. So I’m disappointed in that new layout. I use the horizontal soft bound A5 as a memory each day.

I'm getting the color blend a5 agenda in horizontal and going to use it as my self care planner. Will track water and fitness in the box on the side and then keep track of when I wash my hair, shave, ect in the daily box.
I agree with your sentiments about the Colorful Harmony and also would say the same of the neutral Harmony. I am OCD and the randomness of the tissue paper design is more than I can handle. I do see the inside as more appealing than the cover, so maybe I will just use all the other covers I have? This is tough this year and I am just not convinced I love ANY design actually. I do not like the font in the In Bloom at all, and would love a floral design in the bright colors! I feel like will end up with Colorway, but not completely sold on it either. The stickers are adorable and perfect for planning. I hope the stickers are similar for the 7x9 planners! The vellums are the perfect splash to look at when you first open your planner.

I’m curious: which color way or design is closest to the JMT Colorful? At first I thought it was the Harmony Neutral, but I noticed the dashboard page has colored bullet points in the top right box, which makes me wonder if I missed something else?

I usually get a 12 month but I’m debating on getting the 18 month so I can start sooner!

Great video! :) The A5 Vertical isn't what I expected and I was instantly upset... but then the more I'm seeing it, the more it is growing on me as a supplementary planner for something like wellness tracking, a journal, or a big picture checklist/to-do planner of some kind. I never would be able to use it as a main planner anyway. That mini calendar on every page needs to go! Argh! I would also be frustrated that they obviously were able to mock up a traditional vertical for that sticky note marketing piece. They need to stop releasing things that don't exist (thinking about last year's accidental leak of the "week at a glance" notepage on the Daily Duo.) I'm super excited about the Color Blends! How gorgeous, yet not overwhelming.

Plum Paper came out with the compact vertical last year, except they called it the Quad Lined (you can also get it Unlined). I was disappointed to see EC had basically done a copycat 🙄
