These are the teams that beat him in close games too. This loss is not on him, they didn't build a team that can use his abilities to the max. in Broklyn they were 1 inch away from beating eventual champions; had 2-0 lead before Kyire got injured.

Kevin Durant showed up for this series, but his supporting cast didn’t play like they wanted to win the first 3 games. I thought the Suns should have kept Deandre Ayton cause he could pose a threat in the paint defensively and on offense.
It’s the office that have failed the organization. They didn’t needed Beal and now you have 3 guys worth $170 million plus! You can’t build a good quality team around cap space like that either a bunch of no names.

As great a player as he is he is marginally better than those we referred to as role players. And the same thing applies to the other acclaimed Superstars. Superteam should be the assemblage of Star players in different positions that make up a team not just the assemblage of great offensive players. Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets are the superteams in the NBA now. You must have hungry players who are eager to do the dirty work in order to win. In the Phoenix Sun, they have three players who think they are superstars and each have over $200m in guaranteed contracts, what would they lose if they don't win? But don't get me wrong, these players deserve their guaranteed fat contracts. There is a big career risk involved and they have worked hard for their money. But a team doesn't have to have more than one or two of them. Teams seem to ignore or underrate the effectiveness of role players. This is the current predicament of the Phoenix Sun.
